I am really hoping that Colombia takes care of Brazil, on one side I want to face them, defeat them on their soil and go to the finals in style...but on the other side, thinking practically I dont want to face them at all Laughing I feel, neymar and Oscar may make our defense panic and certainly on counter Brazil will trouble us a lot.

But before that, Algeria is on the cards :coffee:

If we play like we did in the group, we don't get past Algeria, so let's wait and see.

I read that and did not quite understand what exactly FIFA is refusing to allow.

The article is not very detailed, but apparently they're insisting on not allowing certain choreographed fan support and taking fan banners awway at the entrance.

They also took off large "Zaunfahnen" (literally "fence banners") that fans set up:

And the choreos probably would be something like that:

According to WAZ, Mustafi will start tonight while Boateng goes centrally,

Mustafi - Mertesacker - Boateng - Höwedes

If Schweinsteiger is on the bench while Lahm plays midfield with Mustafi RB I will swim to Brazil and strangle Jogi with my bare hands

I have never heard of Mustafi before he got selected in the preliminary squad! No idea about him.

And I have a question. Is Durm really not good enough to start ahead of Höwedes at LB? I really cant understand Löw.

@rwo power wrote:This is the match we are not allowed to lose, or does anybody want to read the big schadenfreude-dripping headlines on Tuesday that would say "Revenge for Gijon!" (other than the Algerians, obviously Razz)

I absolutely want to read those headlines. Mostly because Germany deserve to be humiliated after what happened in 1982.

"Naturally today's game was played tactically. But if 10,000 'sons of the desert' here in the stadium want to trigger a scandal because of this it just goes to show that they have too few schools. Some sheikh comes out of an oasis, is allowed to get a sniff of World Cup air after 300 years and thinks he's entitled to open his gob." - A comment made after the Shame of Gijon.

Germany will probably win but I hope that they get smashed because it would be true poetic justice.
