Yes,but from a Juventus perspective no matter how you word it,we wouldnt've been able to afford him regardless unless we had sold Vidal or Pogba.

Arsenal had the money, good for them.I wouldnt have paid more than 30m euros for Sanchez.

He's a very good player but he's not exactly Top Tier. You're overrating him.

I share the same thoughts but people will call me butthurt and bitter cos we missed out on him.

It's a quality signing, Arsenal have lately stepped up their game in the transfer window, first signing Özil from Madrid and now Sanchez from Barca (and Cazorla before them).

Its 18m which will be paid over 4 years with a wage of 2m a year.Main thing here is we're paying for potential.(He's only 21),although i do agree that we overpaid for this guy.

How is Sanchez for 40m€ not 100 times better than Morata for 22m€ on a "loan"? Laughing Morata is not a great prospect in any way imo.

None suggested its better.

Once again, without selling Pogba or Vidal we wouldnt've been able to afford Sanchez AND address our other issues as well in this case getting a backup CF(which we get in Morata).

See,if Juve had Real or EPL-esque money,i would rather have splashed 50m+ euros on Reus than 40m+ on Sanchez.I just dont believe he's worth that much money.

Plus there's also the resale value factor as well with younger players which has to considered in this context.

Arsenal and Man Utd are getting stronger and stronger squads, this season will be very tight. I'm worried Sad.

It is a sad, but ultimately inevitable day.

Its a shame Barca continue to let functioning players who fit and try hard go for the sake glamour signings and pipe dreams.

It didnt help the fans didnt back him fully despite his performances last season.

Could've gotten Vela for much cheaper and there isn't a difference in quality either. Earlier this year he was talking about a return to Arsenal if I recall correctly, I wonder what changed since then.

He said return is one the options not that he wanted, that was during the time when Sociedad was still indecisive about his purchase. Vela and Wenger don't get along very well and dude was miserable living in London.

More importantly though, this shown the new Arsenal which the fans were hopping for & still getting used to. Get the deal done quick, not stingy over couple of millions difference and finally got to use that freaking "war chest" after 4 years hanging above fans head.

By top tier I mean Hazard, Reus, Bale, Robben, Ribery & Neymar. Sanchez is great but isn't in their class.

Because he's far more gifted and has been better than Sanchez in each of the last 4/5 seasons.

Sanchez helped Barcelona win La liga 2 years back, what did Hazard do?

far more gifted? according to what?

What did Hazard do in the last 4/5 years which makes it better than what Sanchez did in the last 4/5 years?

Sanchez will score slightly more goals but that's where it ends. Hazard is superior at everything else.

La Liga Laughing He was hardly a factor that season. He only scored 8 goals and made 18 starts.

I'm interested to see how he will fit in. A part of me feels that it won't be a seamless transition from Spain to England.
