Messi and Masc to lead the team. Germans has used up their fuel already. I have to say this is the German crop , experience players in all department. Even their subs are better then other teams starting XI. For them either now or never. They are favorite.

Going with a full German throttle here, just as I predicted before the tourney. Heavy favorites. Argentina got here through some shitty flukey path.

On paper this is completely tailor made for Germany. They have the better squad and first XI than us. They have played better in the tournament than us. They have waltzed through their semi final match while we have slogged. They also get an extra day of rest. All Brazilians holding the ticket will cheer for them. They have beaten us in crucial encounters in the recent past and thus have the psychological edge.

However football is not played on paper. This is ending up like Argentina 1986 or Germany 1990. Either Messi comes up with some magic to sit alongside Maradona forever or Germany simply prove the better team. I don't think we can win a second successive penalty shoot out especially if it is against Germany.

My predictions have been no good in this tournament but Argentina making the final has prevented them from being a complete disaster. I won't change my predictions now. Argentina to win this on Messi brilliance so that he is forever anointed as one of the three most uttered names in football ever.

I think you're all going to be deceived in what type of match its going to be.

Yes Germany were awesome but part of it was due to how much space Brazil gave them, they never got that space all tournament and thus didn't look as good and i expect the same in the final.

What we saw tonight is a prelude to what the final will be like IMO, Argentina will limit their space as much as possible and will try to get in behind in wide areas.

Not saying Germany won't win they are definite favourites, but those expecting it to be an open game and like the Brazil game are in for a rude awakening. I'm expecting something like the 1990 WC final and those who have seen that game will probably want to not bother watching the game.

It's not going to be an open game, it's going to be a tight game, but I don't think it will be 0:0 after 90 min either.

Well that's a shame because this Germany don't look to dominate possession, they will stay back and so will Argentina, it'll be boring as shit and will be decided by one or two moments.
