Tbh with absolutely stupid amount of money United is getting from their kit deals alone I wouldn't be surprised to see them throwing Madrid like money at who ever the hell they want.

I mean they are making £750m from Adidas over the next decade alone.. Right ? So why not just bid £80m for Vidal if that's what it takes to sign him. They'll probably still find it hard to spend all the money they take in over the next decade with how mch they are taking in even if they overpay by ridiculous amounts

Because the money will mostly go into the pockets of the Glazers and shareholders on the stock market rather than the sporting unit "doing a Mehdrid". Laughing

The only tedious thing is that it's dragging on and on. We are just hopeless when it comes to negotiating for top, top players in demand.

Not sure why this is taking this long. Either get a definitive answer from the player or move on and let the new target settle into the team before the season starts.

These very long transfer sagas almost never happen. Get your business done swiftly and efficiently.

It's annoying way in which United operate in recent times. We're either unwilling to pay the asking or price or pay agent fees. I can't even blame this on Woodward, it was the same under Gill.

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has revealed they will only sell Arturo Vidal if he asks to leave.

Vidal's long-term future in Turin has been the subject of constant speculation since summer with Manchester United widely credited with an interest in his signature.

Chile international Vidal is under contract at Juventus until 2017 and Juventus are determined to hang onto the 27-year-old.

However, Marotta has conceded Juventus would consider selling Vidal if he indicates he is not happy at the club.

"(Arturo) Vidal? We already said that he is not on the market, but the player's will is decisive," said Marotta.

"Vidal has never said he wants to leave, and Juventus will sell him only if he were unhappy to remain.

"Nowadays, however, there’s absolutely no reason to even be discussing this now".

Juve board want to pin the flack on Vidal. They know damn well that the money we're offering is hard to turn down either way, regardless if Vidal wants to stay.

Every time I read a juve denial, they keep mentioning but if the price is right. I've never seen a top club so desperate to sell their main star before.

Some juve fan creating a fake Instagram account claiming to be Vidal, tagging a pic that says he's happy to stay. It's confused the media lol
Seriously, what is the point in all of this? If they convince others he's staying, that it would alter reality and make him stay?
I have no idea what will happen in this tiresome saga, but for once the English side and the national media are blameless in all of this.

He could join a team that doesn't go around with a begging bowl to buy players, whore their stars to other clubs and set out to steal youngsters before they sign pro contracts bcause they can't afford them in a fair market.
