I'm not disagreeing but when you have a 21 CF with his pedigree torching Bayern in champions league then you have to assume the raw material to reach the top level is there

Juve fans weren't very upset when he left though, they saw him for what he is.

It's funny how similar his career is with Welbeck's. Both were young, local players who were lauded as the future of the club. Both are terrible in front of goal but create good chances with their movement and passing, despite that they both ended up scoring some goals at the highest level which made them gain this "big game player" tag. Their lack of improvement though meant they had to leave for smaller clubs and to this day they both still live off their glory days of happening to score a goal or two in a CL game a few years ago.

Forwards with height and pace look good against teams who give them space?

I'm honestly shocked tbh.

We played him quite often off the left wing. He was a very serviceable player and had some very memorable moments for Juventus. Of course he lacked consistency, young players at top clubs often do.

Now he's just consistently shit

Morata played 23 straight games for us and scored only against Chievo.

He was shit in his second year. That's all there is to say.

Morata is a bonafide big game player. He is a big baby. You need to cuddle him to get the best out of him. I loved how he played for us. If it's not working out at Chelsea it's on them not getting the best out of him. Whenever I watch Chelsea he's been rubbish but not because lack of quality but because he doesn't even look like he is trying. The biggest mistake he did was leave us instead of being patient ala Isco

oh please.  no he's not. It's exactly about lack of quality. Poor first touch and really poor finishing. Madrid fans need to come to terms with what he is.

Since we actually need reliable scoring in a CF purchase, Morata would be the last place I'd look.

It's absurd that in an era where players are written off for like 5 bad games in a row that Morata is somehow still being excused after YEARS of mediocrity. He's a C+ player, really. Unbelievable that Chelsea paid 70m for him. Unreal.

I'm with you

You might be a bit better than Bayern and Madrid already(who are about to lose another major star)

Juve, Man U, Barca, City, Atleti, Liverpool

Top 6 right now IMO

Not only have you been poor for years now, but your former player in Pogba, isn’t the only underperforming player you’ve brought in for unreasonable amounts of cash during the same period of time. You say we live in an era where players are written off for 5 bad games in a row, yet you support a club that depends on the likes of Phil Jones, Darmian and Lingard, to mention a few Rolling Eyes

Darmian and Jones have barely played for us the last couple seasons and Jones was a starter for a brief period. No different from all those failed Castilla numpties you 'rely on'. 'Poor' in the sense of we haven't won either the league or CL in years, then sure. But we've won trophies consistently and made the CL very often.  More than what you can say about plenty of other 'top' clubs. We're just fine and Morata is still a massive melt that a lot of Madrid fans are delusional over, still. Facts.

I'd say they're still very much part of your roster, regardless of whether or not they've managed to nail down a starting spot. I think I have a realistic view on Morata. Would love to have him back as a sub, if he performs at the same level that he was at prior to leaving us for Chelsea. He's never been starter material, but I definitely rate him as an impact sub based on what he's shown in the past. Contrary to your belief, I think many RM fans took for granted how important he was to our success, the season before he left. It wasn't pretty, but he, along with Ramos scored and contributed towards so many decisive goals against the fodder teams of the league. I have no issues with M. United. I just thought it was interesting that you're criticizing expensive and/or underperforming players from other teams. It's not as if Man U are the kings of the transfer market Laughing

At one point in time, Morata assisted Sir Stefano Sturaro to score the tying goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League

Today, the remaining half of the numpty-duo has left Juventus to join Sporting on Loan

Name a more iconic duo (don't @me with Iaquinta-Amauri)

Morata is not a bad player, he's just not a top one.

He belongs in that tier below the best. Spurs, Valencia, Milan, Monaco etc
