When they fail to make Europe against this season, they won't have to even worry about FFP. FFP only applies to teams who qualify for European competitions at the first place

So it ended up being 10 mil euro loan fee, full payment of Falcao's wages and 55 mil buyout.

Monaco owner commented today by saying:
-  Falcao asked to leave and we didn't want to fight him on it.
-  James was sold because the offer was too big to refuse.  Falcao left because he asked to.  We didn't sell anyone else.
-  We were less aggressive in this mercato because my personal situation was complicated.  I don't expect this to be the case in the future.

Pretty straight forward with his comments.  You can't really criticize him tbh...  between his divorce, the Ukraine crisis and his heart surgery, it was a bit much.  Winter and summer mercatos will be more telling assuming his situation is stable by then.

Here's the interview with the team sporting director that was published today. Pretty much the same thing... with even more. I forgot that the 3 year "free period" after you buy a club is over too. So FFP is in play this season for Monaco.
