If you look through one of these TV threads, you'll find some posts by me about it like years and years ago. I watched like 4-5 episodes but because it was so very old I just couldn't get myself to keep going. It was decent from what I remember.

That was a turn off for me as well, but I kept watching and realized you need to be in a certain state of mind to let yourself into it.Once achieving that, the show is very good.

I'm into E6 ATM.

If it's getting rebooted, then there is no point in watching the old one.

It got great reviews back in the day.

A couple of things I remember clearly was a very hot brunette Audrey  A self obsessed detective with his recorder who talked too much, and a jock high school bully kid.

Twin Peaks is one of the absolute GOAT shows. It's by David Lynch ffs, one of the greatest film directors of all time, was the big bang of all the 'arty' shows that followed as well as more mainstream epigones as X-Files.
'Riget' by Lars von Trier for example, another GOAT, would surely not exist without Twin Peaks.
Both do a horror-weirdo take on mainstream formats (soap opera in Twin Peaks, hospital soap in Riget).

That being said, consistency back then was not what it is now, with the TV series craze and the ensuing money.
So for example, just a few episodes were in fact directed by Lynch (the first and 2nd, the first season finale, same for season 2 and maybe the very last one).
Between these episodes and some others there is a sometimes very noticable differential in quality.
And of cause it's 90s in purity, that's why it may seem strange in style to some of you young'uns while for me it's memories lol.

Also, the first season was just 8 eps I think, the second 10, after the second there was a long third season which got worse and worse.

Still, it is absolutely essential viewing imo, some parts are as good as can be, and the whole thing is legendary.

Also essential viewing is the 'Prequel' movie (you NEED to watch it after the series though, as it spoils the whodunit)
'Fire Walk With Me', one of the best films Lynch has done, while being underrated.

It surely is not being 'rebooted' in the sense of remade/retold, it was a crime story/whodunit with some 'supernatural' elements. No sense in rebooting it, it's not Batman lol.

I hear Agent Cooper (Kye MacLachlan) will be back, so also that's why there's no way of a reboot lol. Things have happened that cannot be undone...
I'm actually really really hyped about the new season, if only for the reason that finally Lynch does something again.

Yep Audrey was cute, the soundtrack is legendary, and there's one character that is hilarious of whom I'm reminded everytime I see Madonna somewhere nowadays lol.

It's just a new season of the same series. It says at some point in the show: see you in 25 years or something (or so I've read) Which is in 2016.

they do say that? lol I can'tremember, pretty sure they didn't plan that.
I looked it up, it's actually just 2 seasons officially, the first one short and a eternal second one, it just seemed to me like 3 as there is a kind of finale which ends the main story after 17 or 18 episodes.
After that there's a lot garbage.
Apparently the network insisted on the story getting early closure as audiences were falling.

Freeza you're Danish, you probably know Riget?

well fair enough.

maybe it's also different if you're a native as you understand more.
also the guy has pretty much done only high end garbage for the last 10 years.

But Riget I can recommend very much, it's absolutely hilarious imo.

After breaking news that WB was developing a Supergirl TV show and that Fox was developing an X-Men TV show, both of which were later confirmed by other sources, Bleeding Cool is now reporting that a show titled Krypton is in active development with David Goyer attached.

Details about the potential show are scarce, but the name implies that the show may be pre-Superman, similiar to how Fox's smash hit Gotham is pre-Batman, and may involve the House of El, possibly Brainiac too. Goyer, as many of you know, is no stranger to Superman's world, having written the screenplay for 2013's Man of Steel, which spent extensive time on Krypton and showed the alien world prior to its destruction.

Although, Krypton would likely be WB's first (or second depending on when Supergirl arrives) Superman tale that would most likely not feature Superman in any capacity, it wouldn't be their first pre-Superman story, already having produced the Emmy-winning Smallville, which ran for 10 seasons and starred Tom Welling as Clark Kent and Erica Durance as Lois Lane.

This would mark Goyer's second DC Comics television adaptation after NBC's Constantine. In addition to his TV commitments, Goyer will also be busy for the next few years with his commitments to Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League Parts One & Two.

So atm I'm watching The Walking Dead, Arrow, Gotham, Dexter and....wait for it... The Sopranos. They're showing it on tv, 6 episodes in and I'm loving it, James Gandolfini
Oh and Dexter is soooooo good. MT should check it out imo, better than BB. Just finished season 4 which is the best season so far, so if the rest are just as good this show might just make it to my top 3 list. Dexter Morgan 2nd best tv character after Rick Grimes.

Probably one of the best characters in TV show history. Or Unique anyways. I haven't watched many shows tbf to make a ranking list but he is probably at the very top of the list.

Angel Batista is GOAT in Dexter too.

I hate to be the one to do this to you but it gets progressively worse. I liked the fifth season though a lot of people didn't but after that the quality dropped off significantly. But you're right though, the first four seasons are amazing.

Finished the first season of American Horror Story. It was pretty good. Really twisted. I think one of the weak points was having too many ghosts. I had hard track keeping up on who's who and what their motivations were. And I think they overdid the Violet/Tate romance. The acting and backstories were really good. Tate was a GOAT.
