If Hazard is not even playing well under Hiddink... does this mean he is finished at 25? Or maybe he was just a one season wonder?

It's not that black and white, Robben was shite at 28, then he got injured and came back in his best form ever, it was clearly a mental issue, so can be Hazard's.

Robben failed in every important moment that season, and was shite for Netherlands as well in the Euro. He was even booed at Allianz in that Bayern - Netherlands game after the CL Final ffs Laughing

Hazard still have CL to redeem himself. Not that i'm confident he will tho.

Said it and will say it again. Hazard is the flagship of the league and is the best player in the league. When he isn't being used like Djamel Mesbah by Mourinho he has unleashed an Italian vector in his style via Conte and has dominated opponents so far.

Ive been watching a lof Chelsea and Im not sure that Hazard has been better than Costa so far hmm

This last game against City, Costa and Curtois were clearly better. Even more so at the beggining of the season.

Hazard is the system, the head of the snake, the main man. We saw what life without Hazard was like for Chelsea last season.

Costa has been almost as impressive & has scored massive goals this season. He's having an equally fantastic season taking the entire season into account but Hazard has been otherwordly since the switch to 3421.

Lol he wasn't shite at any point. He played really well for club and country he just bottled it in important moments. He was still dominant and the catalyst for those chances, but people only look at the end result. That's why he was under so much heat. But now he's gotten over that hurdle and became a great big moment player.

Just look at Bayern even now with and without Robben. It's night and day, and he's constantly coming back from injuries or playing injured. The man is a damned legend.

Hazard is clearly not the system, the main man. The key players are Alonso and Moses who gave a whole new dimension to our play both difensively and offensively, Kante that runs for 3 people due to this very offensively inclined 3-4-3, Costa that holds the attack by his own and who improved on the collaborating with teammates/sending others through on goal like vs Spurs and City.

Hazard is still the player that just kind of sparkles intermittently and kind of stay invisible/irrelevant for the rest of the game. Granted that those moments of brilliance have been more numerous and more costant since Conte relieved him off his defensive duties and we started playing with am attacking left footed LB that allowed him more freedom to operate where he wants, but if we had Willian/Pedro behind Costa we would still be fine, less threatening of course but still fine.
If we happen to miss Costa/Kante/Alonso/Moses, and I'd add even Azpi, we would just crumble.

Why just last season?

His whole PL career he's been up and down. Invisible or present. Even within the same season.

I'm glad he's finally showing up again because he's undoubtedly always been very talented, but I agree, he needs a couple great seasons to finally prove his ability as a player to do it consistently at the highest level, not be a talented player who shows up when he finds it convenient to do so on a particular day
