Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
210 million spent this season if Keita comes early like a lot of the reports are suggesting
no excuses if Loserpool go trophy-less for the 10th year in a row
He has to win something.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
that’s not true and even if it was we would have only spent 50 mil after the sale of coutinho. Now to put that into perspective that’s one of the best young mf players in the world plus vvd for 50 mil spent. And that pass it sideways scrub matic at 30 yo cost 40 mil. So stop talking wet and get your Punk ass out of the Liverpool threads.Firenze wrote:210 million spent this season if Keita comes early like a lot of the reports are suggesting

Keita
He isn't half the player Matic is and I doubt he ever will be
can't believe Klopp spent a combined 200m on Oxlade Chamberlain, Keita and VVD, unreal
thank god the Salah move worked out or you would be languishing in 13th or something

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
you have the most expensive squad in the world you play Everton style football and Jesé lingard is your best player ffs and you gonna try to have a dig at other teams for bad spending. Do you look back at some of your posts and cringeFirenze wrote:Keita

There's a lot resting on Keita coming good. I'm dreading the league he's coming from, but hopefully he'll be a revelation.

The way Keita plays you can see he will thrive under klopp. Some players just fit well with how klopp and Liverpool play. Salah is not a better player now than he was at Roma he is playing better now because everything at Liverpool is just right to get the very best out of him. If salah had signed for Man U instead of Liverpool he would be sitting on the bench now with about 3 goals and no assists. I think naby will be another player that will hit the ground running and be a hit in this team.

Is there a legitimate excuse for him now? I don't see it.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
but but Salah has 20 goals in January
imagine signing Virgil Van Dijk for 80m, making him one of the highest earners in the league
a good manager would have signed Jonny Evans for 25m instead tbh
man cant even keep a clean sheet against the two worst teams in the league

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
no. I saw this crap coming a year ago. you don't need 2 years to improve a defence. when your sophisticated manager gets out played by scrubs like fat sam and pardiola time after time its time to look for another manager.urbaNRoots wrote:Is there a legitimate excuse for him now? I don't see it.

Johnny Evans is the one who caused Liverpool's opening goal though.

They're still in sole possession of fourth, 3 points from 3rd and 6 points from 2nd. They're in the RO16 of the CL as well.
Let's see where they are at the end of the season.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits he does not understand the criticism Jordan Henderson receives and has hailed the England international as a "fantastic player" for the Reds.

OMG!
He has to go now!
Saying something like that about one of his own players!
He has to be gone by the end of the week!

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Henderson is a fantastic player when healthy and on form. Unfortunately he's had too many injuries lately. He played well against Huddersfield and our whole team looked better against WBA when he came on. Hopefully he kicks on and finds the form of last season before his big injury.
Anyway, Klopp has his limitations. Mostly the issues have to do with playing in possession. He sets up his team too narrow up front and doesn't really have a back-up plan besides having the fullbacks bomb up the wings leaving the defence very exposed. He is basically gambling that we can beat mid to lower table teams through brute force (by virtue of having better quality) rather than actually setting the team up for consistent success, and that's why we keep having these major letdowns every once in a while against smaller teams but look like gangbusters against top teams fairly consistently.
He needs to take a page out of Pep's book. Have the wide players actually stretch the opposition defence and look for more underlaps and switches of play when attacking. Systematically break defensive teams down as opposed to trying to force through the middle. It annoys the shit out of me every time I watch us against a low block and I see Mane, Firmino and Salah all within 5 meters of eachother.

You at one point thought Thomas Müller was world class so we all are guilty of making ridiculous statements.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Thomas Müller has always been world class and continues to be. One year of poor form doesn't change that and it's quite silly to doubt the quality of Thomas Müller tbh

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Not only do I doubt it, I don't think it exists. Never have, never will. Just like Henderson being this magically fantastic footballer. Don't see that either. Think he is just a hard working, would follow instructions to the letter type of footballer who knows the basics enough to make a career out of.

Going well for now, Seem to be improving each year. Goal remains the same: Top 4 spot this year again, Something I wasn't really expecting let alone after selling Coutinho. Klopp has something about him that makes turds behave like gold.
