Fair point. The only dislike is during the games between the clubs, but even that is tolerable rivalry.

I guess it's also because we've both been through similar shit patches. Look forward to better days though!

However, just to be fair to Ings, when we played Burnley in December he was the best player on the pitch.

If he is going to come in for 3m or whatever it is for next season as 4th choice and it means we will sell the 3 stooges (Mario, Fabio, and Lambio) I'm fine with it.

But god allmighty if this is the striking signing that FSG and this garbage committee sanction to be the main guy behind or next to Sturridge, I'm so done.

I really don't get it . . . we have crisis now so we are going to buy a striker now and loan him out till summer!! How on earth does that help!!! And also someone whose quality is really questionable!

The hot question right now is, why not keep Ings at Liverpool and loan them Lambert until the end of the season instead?

Is Ings really a bad signing though? Every time I've seen him he's looked the goods. If he's not scoring he's still putting in a great amount of work and pressing really hard. His technical ability needs a bit of work, but he's got a nose for the net and good instincts as well as speed and is industrious.

I dunno, if you watch them both persay Ings is not far off from what Lacazette was last season. He's a year younger too and for my money stronger. Liverpool kind of have to make moves on players before they get their big breaks like Lacazette did or other teams with more money/pull step in and we're out of it. Getting Ings now, before he really hits his prime or breaks out, might be a shrewd bit of business to be honest.

Personally I don't mind it at all. I just don't understand the loan back when we are hanging on by the thin threads of Sturridge's tendons.

Except I said that Lambert was a bad signing from the beginning. He's not even remotely similar to Ings come on now. Are you really comparing Lambert to a 22 year old who won championship player of the year and is nothing like him stylistically (has a ton of pace, presses hard, makes a lot of good runs off the ball)?

Also just read that it would be against the rules for us to loan him back to Burnley anyway. So either we're buying him to come and play for us or we'll have to wait for the summer if there's any interest. I think that Burnley should just let him come if we want him TBH and we'll loan them like Borini or Lambert or something.

Dare I say Ings is a bit like Harry Kane. Maybe not as athletic but very similar in other parts of their game.

There's two ways that I look at this possible transfer.

- 1. Very good signing at 3m. Will be sold for a lot more to a Villa/QPR/etc as he's English and he's only 22 when we don't need him anymore. The main reason he's coming in is to be 3rd or 4th choice competing with Origi because we're selling the 3 stooges in the summer(Mario, Fabio, Lambio). Definitely better suited to our style than those 3 aforementioned stooges. Still keeps the door open for a top attacker like Lacazette to come in.

- 2. We've lost any sort of ambition. The ineptness has taken over. Ings is brought in as the forward we've been promised to be 2nd choice or partner Sturridge and we'll have Sturridge, Ings, Origi, and Lambert as our options next season. Gods be good. This would officially end Liverpool as we know it.
