I wouldn't say he was totally absent. Definitely not his best game, but he was the main reason we scored the second goal yesterday.

You guys do realize that he trained all of 10 days from May until the second week of September...  knee and hip injury.  Only been back for the last 3 weeks to train normally and a handful of games.  Obviously nowhere near fit physically.  Also, needs a few weeks to find form on the pitch.

If he could have at least trained some, it would have been different.  But with the bad hip, he couldn't do a single thing both in terms of upper and lower body until it healed enough.  Basically a couch potato.  Surprised he didn't balloon in terms of weight, although he does look slightly soft as a result.

The right thing to do is to let him get fit physically and start Morata in the meantime.  But I don't think Zidane trusts Morata for the big games and he wants Benz to be ready and in full form in a the next month or two.  So he's playing him.  I think it's a month premature given that the Atleti and Barca games are 2 months away.

who cares anyway, he should just be moved to midfield and you should get a better striker for when ronaldo collapses

One honest question. Why does perez still stick with benchzema? When he can easily get any damn striker he actually points at from his couch? Just curious.

Or does benzema know one of perez secret that no one else knows? And probably black mailing him as per usual?

We have a transfer ban. Benzema has had good games this year too.. I'll give it a few more games before I really say he's been Shite. In my opinion, I think zidane will bench morata if it keeps up like this

It always takes Benzema a few run of games to get back his sharpness. He is very similar to Rooney in that regard. Also did he even have a pre season? people need to lay off him a bit. Morata is scoring because when he comes on the opposition commit themselves leaving space behind.


Zidane should keep using him off the bench.

Morata was scoring when he was starting too. More importantly he is actually playing well.

Yes, Benzema had preseason. He didn't play in Euro. Benzema looks overweight and it is November. No excuse.

No he wasn't. Morata had 1 goal in 5 starts before Benz returned. He only managed 16 shots in those 5 starts, which showed he couldn't get open.

You also had all his issues starting at Juve over 2 years... where he got benched by Llorente and then Mandzukic.

Morata relies on speed... he's made to come off then bench or when Madrid play a team where they set up for the counter... just as with Juve.

The guy has been living off his name for 3 years now, if not entire career.

You know Benzema is in trouble and has lost the faith of the Madrid faithful when Sports relinquishes his support of him.

He has similar kind of lower body of the likes of Fat Ronaldo, Rooney etc. He is currently extremely slow for an attacker.
