Almeria vs Real Madrid

Post by halamadrid2 on Fri Dec 12, 2014 7:22 am

This is potentially a very tricky game. They only lost 2-1 against Barca so we need to be careful

Bale is back, James and Khedira will be back for the CWC. Everyone else are available

Line up pretty much picks itself

Lets continue the winning streak por favor

Bale is awful today... Needs to be subbed. Ridiculous display.

EDIT: I take credit for that goal :coffee:

Half time 1-2

We are not having a great game neither bad but we really need to do better. Almeria are defending very well and countering through the wings.

Bale as usual plays like crap but still gets a goal. I really feel sorry for Carvajal having to defend the whole flank by himself

Benz is having a good game holding the ball up for our attackers, Ronaldo is having a rather quiet night so far but isn't losing the ball everytime he gets it

Kroos as usual  Marcelo really needs to work on his crossing but he is defending well so I'll forgive him

Give me Jese for Bale in the second half please

Bale has set the bar for how amazingly useless one can be in a game where you score.

Beards are magic imo. Isco's goal and Carvajal's assist to Ronaldo were amazing.

Flattering result to say the least. Almeria played excellent

Pepe Motm for me. What a great defender he is. Isco was also excellent.

Iker finally got his swagger back ffs Proud
Pepe and Varane actually looked great. Their only goal couldn't be defended at all. The pen was very 50/50 at best.

Ok game. Why Carlo only made one sub is ridiculous, come on now.

How Bale finished this game, I'll never know.

That was tense. We haven't been all too convincing the last few games.
I hope we haven't peaked at the wrong time.

Cristiano Ronaldo 32 goals in 23 games...its mid December

Cristiano is love. Ronaldo is life. cheers

The moment which pissed me off totally was that pass to Carvajal around 70-75 mark. I thought he shooted Laughing

Varane motm imo. Almeria were great, we were ok. bar Bale I can't think of anyone who had a sub-average game.

Just shocking from Bale tonight (again). No idea what the problem is, but he needs to sort it out.

I thought Ronaldo was average tonight.

Illara or Pepe for MOTM for me.

great game, kroos bossed that midfield, isco's been amazing with his decision making and ability to hold the ball when needed. great combination by bbc on the last goal.......and iker did well to keep us in it....i never understood how people just turned against him; and the arbeloa that they supported for political reasons, can't put a shift like carvajal did today to save his life.....benz played well, was unselfish when he needed to be, and i like that he attempted that long range strike even though he missed it, sometimes u just need to blast a shot and keep options open.....cristiano scored, nothing new there......20 straight wins (not looking forward to the world club cup, these irrelevant tournaments that tire players depress me )

Pepe is insane. When I saw him running for the ball I thought it was Bale. He might be doping, the guy looks faster than ever.

I thought Illara was decent. It just seems to me that the last few games we've played, he started & we haven't been great. Coincidence? He was at the heart of everything good, but also everything bad (thought he could've closed down better for the first).

Also Marcelo Laughing I just knew he'd give away a pen or get sent off today after those comments by Dunga. Great going forward, liability at the back. Thought we were past that.
Thank god for Iker. He's quickly restoring his reputation.

That was 50/50. And I don't know what you're talking about since he was solid defensively today.

illarra is playing fine the team being tired is not his fault, i swear some you act like the team never lost/struggle when illarra is not playing or something, anyway tough win and the team needs a break

Illara wussed out. He had his back turned for the shot. Luka wouldn't have & that's the level he has to be compared to.

He was decent, I didn't think he was great. Problem I have with him is that he wins the ball, then passes it back. Killing a potential counter attack. Alonso always looked for the quick release first.

Think Carlo has ordered him to be more reserved this season. One of the reason why he doesn't make as much brain farts as he used to. Which is good for the team overall as he doesn't cost Madrid anymore. And it doesn't really affect him much either.

It's really interesting how Carlo has set up the team. You wouldn't normally expect a midfield of Isco, James, Kroos(when Illarra isn't playing) to be this solid defensively but it is. They cover the defence well as well as dominate the midfield.

Isco's and James' work-rate is the thing that has impressed me most this season, along with Bale's lack of work-rate.

Who would have thought a midfield of Kroos, James, Isco would be defensively competent? If one did, you are literally wasting your talent on the forum and you need to get your coaching license.

Of course, they are not the strongest defensive unit out there but those men sure work genuinely hard to keep the shape Carlo wants.

@Valk, you're impressed by Bale's lack of work rate? Really? It's so bad that someone got impressed how bad it is? And is it possible that we all silently agree Bale isn't being nefarious and looking to only pass to CR but simply just being a complete d1ck.
