Re: Barclay's Premier League '14-'15 discussion V6
I don't think he is an awful footballer, to me it seems to be his imagination that's very limited. It doesn't stroll further than 7 yards away from the sideline
Can't believe with 20 seconds to go he manages to delay 2 crosses into the same stupid move, while the whole rest of his team is waiting in the box, and then he messes up both resulting corners lol.

Navas = Antonio Valencia
That was an awful match. Specially the second half when Chelsea decided a point was good enough.

The renties have a knack for killing a 'big game' spectacle. I expected no different from today's match.

Valencia > Navas if we consider the former's versatility. Going forward, both offer the exact same thing, which btw is simply nothing.

Don't mind this result at all, especially considering that we played almost the same XI that played 120 minutes against Liverpool except our two best players.

He's even better than him. However I wouldn't mind Varane as his back-up and maybe a starter when Terry retires.El Gunner wrote:Zouma the French Varan...

I don't remember Chelsea shooting once in the second half. Cuadrado is desperately needed there.

Chelsea's approach to the game was justified. A point suits them just fine because it maintains the lead they have over City, who they don't have to play anymore. Also, let's not forget that they played 120 minutes in mid-week with largely the same team and you could see that had an effect on them in the second half.

And we were without Cesc and Coasta, two of our top 3 players.
If they were available I would have been disappointed with the approach.

thay played the same v Liverpool over the 2 legs aswell. just seems like its defend for your life. and take a goal if it comes. with money spent and talent thay have I expect more from them. I get that its all about winning cups and stuff. but its not good to watch.

come on mate. you were at home. and you have a world of talent. also you played the same over 2 legs v Liverpool. you won the tie fair play. but you never really tried to win the 2 games. and its not like Liverpool are world beaters.

To be fair Fabregas and Costa were playing at the etihad, and were even a man up, and were still deployed in defensive role when it was all said and done.
Mourinho is acting like a coward now. Wont hold this match against him, but he definitely was against city up a man. Will never forget Schürrle just sitting back smiling as Lampard equalized. Didnt even try to close him down. That should be on his exit video from Chelsea in a continuous loop. The fact he has a world cup winners medal cheapens the entire tournament for me.

This is Mou and Chelsea you guys are talking about. After all these years, you still want to complain about their approach? Really?
It's about winning for them, not about how many people are jizzing their pants watching them play. It is a very practical approach to the game. Besides, they got to the top of the league by playing some fantastic football, even if it was a bit of scrub-spanking.
We can hate the approach all we want, but there is no denying that it is practical, efficient and wins them enough to show for it. Champions League with Roberto effin De Mattio sums it up.

That's not banter.
That's talking with sense and logic.
