Saw Episode 1 and 2

Jon Bernthal has absolutely stolen this show so far. WOW what a *bleep* villain

Episode 1 and 2:
I think the bullet grazed his head RG

The District Attorney character is annoying as hell. Shitty actress.

Literally the first person I've seen saying hallway fight scene is overrated. Forget Banshit lol, that was Oldboy level.

Typical Firenze hating on what people like in GL. GOT, Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, now Daredevil. Meanwhile scrub shows like Ban-shite are the best (:

Episode 3 and 4:
That was a perfect adaptation of the famous Punisher/Daredevil roof scene. Incredible acting and dialogue. And yeah that stairway scene was nuts, there's a scene as good that will happen on episode 9, just wait.

That graveyard scene in episode 4 nearly ruined me. And that shotgun blast to Finn's face was perfection. They totally nailed the Punisher.

Honestly, if you cut out the sideplots, you can combine the first four episodes to a Daredevil/Punisher movie and it would end up being one of the best movie of the year.

Episode 5-10:
Elektra is amazing. I never liked her but I really like her on this show. Return of Stick  He is such a great character. Nobu and those children are creepy as f. Jessica Jones namedrop

And of course
Ep 8:
KINGPIN FFS

Nah. I call things out when they're being crap or overhyped like GoT is guilty of at times. Better Call Saul rofl

Honestly, if you cut out the sideplots, you can combine the first four episodes to a Daredevil/Punisher movie and it would end up being one of the best movie in years.

for example this quote, i'm sure I will be addressing it once I've caught up. Smile

Meh. Started really well but in the end I was glad it was over. Disappointed.

Spoiler:

Lack of a true opponent was my biggest problem. Seemed all over the place without. Realised how much I missed it as soon as we got Fisk back.
Oh and as I just finished it.... did they really have to bring the Punisher in for the final fight if all he did was shooting 2 or 3 random assassins?

Not bad, but not close to season 1 either.

I agree with you, there is a drop in quality in the end. The finale was just such a massive cliche fest SMH.

Spoiler:
The season got weaker once Kingpin disappeared again. Colonel Schnoover being the Blacksmith was oh so convenient, did not like that sideplot at all. And as I said, the finale was full of cliches, that Elektra-Daredevil conversation basically was a spoiler to her fate. I'm glad they did not beat around the bush and straight up showed she would be resurrected though. Best part of the finale was all the setting up of the inevitable Punisher series.

Nobu and the ninjas were useless antagonists. The ninjas were just fodder like the League in Arrow and Nobu showed no personality and we felt no serious threat coming from him at all. They really need to get Bullseye in season 3 to create a serious antagonist other than Fisk.

Fight on the stairs had Some great choreography and the idea was great. But holy hell there were some shit cuts throughout. It became too ambitious.

Bernthal nailing it so far. Love him.

At episode 5 now

Spoiler:
No "true adversary"? The problem with that line of reasoning is that you(and many others that think like that) think superhero stories ALWAYS have to be about the clearly defined "bad guy" vs the clearly defined "good guy". Yet you're the same people who will complain about "superhero fatigue" with the whole "it's the same thing every time" when they keep doing that.

This season, they've tackled story lines straight out of the comics that deal with ideologies. What's right and what's wrong? How far can you really go to fight crime? What does it take to be a hero? Grey areas and what not. It's the same issue generally being tackled by Batman V Superman and Civil War in the movies this year. You need to appreciate the different approach to storytelling that the writers are bringing to us.

Not to mention they fully introduced The Hand, which we'll deal with at length in the Iron Fist show, presumably, and also in The Defenders show. Again, I think your priorities are misplaced and your expectations are weird.

Yeah no.
Spoiler:

The problem is they DID have an antagonist, just a bad one. That's what I wanted to say, but I wrote this right after finishing the last episode hmm Sure they introduced the hand, but seriously? It's just as m99 said. Generic fodder assassins. And yes maybe that's going to change in the future but right now they were the prime antagonist for this season and they were boring.

The Punisher on the other hand was actually the one thing I did REALLY like. The storyline about him was the least of my problem apart from probably the ending but whatever. In fact I would have liked the season far more if they made it more about the Punisher and gave him more interaction with DD.
