Manchester United FA Cup - Monday 9th March

Post by AG86 on Wed Feb 18, 2015 2:13 pm

9000 fans travelling to Manchester on a Monday night?? Don't think so... What a shame that TV rights have ruined this fixture, no doubt a fast majority of the United fans won't be able to attend this either!

I think it's about time we got a win over them for sure but we having some psychological issues when playing at Old Trafford so I wouldn't say I'm particularly confident even though United are pretty turd at the moment...

It's Gotta Wenger. I remember after the City game he said the players basically told him they didn't want to play his usual tactics they wanted to sock up the pressure stay strong and hit City on the break. So he took in into account.

Not sure why we didn't approach the Spurs game the same way and why everybody played like dog shit I'm thinking just a blimp in the works. On to man Utd anyway... and as Kevin Keegan said.

I wud luv it if we beat them I wud luv it.

Yeah, ManU v Arsenal in the FA cup quarter finals shouldn't be a Monday night game.

I have no confidence we will win this game. Absolutely none.

United beat us by scoring 2 goals with only one shot on goal. imagine if they actually don't play like a non league side next time we play them.

Agree

You would have thought that last year with as bad as manu was with them sitting and playing as a very average mid table squad we would have been able to get a comprehensive win against them.

This year they are actually playing better. They also do not need to save anyone for other competitions (with last year being so bad). At best we are inconsistent both with tactics and performances. If we start the game attempting to park the bus like we did against the spuds, allowing them time on the ball while the entire team sits deep hoping to hit them on the counter with slow forwards I will have little hope.

Like the prediction game though. Not sure that any supporter actually goes into any game confident of a win anymore. We kind of just sit back and hope for a super human performance from anyone in an Arsenal kit that produces a good result.

So yes, no confidence that we will win this game. Or really just about any game. Hope we win this game. Wish we would win more games.
Maybe all those years of actually knowing we were going to win, knowing we could dominate anyone in any match was just overrated and made us all soft.

Think we can win.

Heyyy. maybe we can do it on a Monday night as opposed to all the Saturdays and Sundays we lost to United in recent years.

Was pretty sure this was going to take the Sunday late kick-off slot. hmm
Anyways, it doesn't matter to me.
Means I'm going to miss Walking Dead though Clubber

I'd be very surprised if we beat them at Old Trafford if the game were at the Emirates I'd favour us.

But what I foresee is us playing the better football creating the most chances & losing the game. For some reason we have such a poor record against Manure. Saying that you know with Arsenal when everybody doubts them they come off good so hopefully we beat them comfortably.

We just gotta keep it tight.

United need an old scalp and a boost at winning a trophy (this is our best chance!). United are playing shite, arsenal get the jitters at OT... I reckon there might be a boring game, this one

Well should Utd beat us I can't see any other team preventing you from winning the FA Cup. Liverpool will be in with a big shout but they also suck against Utd on Head To Head stats.

The worst thing about this MU side is that anyone would feel like shit after losing to them. Every team and their mothers have the right to think they play better than that cluster fcuk mess, just make defeat way more bitter.

I still can't believe we didn't beat them at home last season. We played with no passion we actually played for the draw against a well below par Manchester Utd side.

Well said, but Wenger is terrified to play at OT.

Good one Sri. Laughing It’s all psychological, Clubber

If we lose at OT, it would be the worst result of the year. I think this time United will try to win it with out having a shot on target. Laughing

United have hurt us for the past 10 years, we have a great chance to mess them up for a while.

I honestly can't see us win. We have better players in every position bar GK. But that really doesn't mean anything when it comes to Arsenal-United.

Best we can hope is to get a replay at the Emirates.
