He plays in a position which the Italian NT is lacking quality players in, I see him getting a fair few call ups in the future games. Not to mention he's exactly the type of player Conte loves.

No doubt the experience of playing with the NT and against others will improve this player further. Exciting prospect.

Also is it official now? Berardi > SES? In my opinion yes. He's had 2 top seasons now cementing that he's not a 1 season wonder. With the signing of Dybala im almost certain he won't be joining us anytime soon. Juve management need to be giving this guy promises that if he continues like this he will be implemented into our squad.

Too talented. I'll be pissed if we lose him in the future.

There's no rivalry other than that Inter screwed the now Genoa coach when he was at Inter, and Genoa always play like this. I just don't know why we played their game and didn't slow down the tempo.

What a 2nd half. Rudi got lucky as hell I think. Never should've benched Pjanic for Keita in the first place. No surprise Mire ended up being the game changer. Swapping Totti for Ibarbo was a pure gamble, but it did work out as he was central a lot of what we did. Still don't rate him, but he was good today.

Still not sure we're deserving of 2nd place truly considering how unwatchable we've looked, but this game was a microcosm of the last 4 months nonetheless. A huge weight off the Roma management shoulders and for Rudi as well, who has likely saved his job for at least one more season.

Now we need to actually address our squad problems instead of bandaiding them in this summer mercato.

Roma should break the bank to bring Jackson Martinez AND sign a cheap or free replacement like Gignac .

you can't keep relying on luck and defenders bailing you out forever .

I really don't think we need another attacker, especially if we're bringing Destro back. Him and Doumbia should be enough up top.

We need new full-backs, a vice-Pjanic, and a new goalkeeper. Strootman and Castan returning should feel like new signings as well.

With Destro, Doumbia and Totti, its hard to see Roma splashing on Martinez.

He's Milan bound anyway :coffee:

Both teams need serious reinforcements if they want to qualify for or get out of the CL group stage.

3. Lazio 66
4. Napoli 63

Previous game Lazio 0 - 1 Napoli

The Match That Was Promised is happening Proud

If Napoli win the 38th round against Lazio they will qualify for the CL, if they draw/lose Lazio will.

Problem is that neither Destro or Doumba arent really good enough. Doumbia has hope but we have seen Destro and he is not a CL level striker. I think we need a more mobile striker, who can create chanes himself. Like Martinez. But with this FFP I am not sure we have the money.

I have doubts about Castan too. Injuries so long can change players, but lets hope for the best. Strooman should be sold, cant risk waiting another 6 monts for him to get well. Sell him and make Naingollan permanet, add Witsel maybe.

We have a vice Pjanic - Paredes. He must get more time, clearly has the talent.

Two fullbacks is a must. Though good ones are hard to find these days. Especially if Torino asks 20+ mills for Darmian for example.

Can't agree with a lot of this.

Destro is certainly good enough on evidence, but he's a confidence player. Rudi never should've ostracized him and even when that was happening, he was still scoring goals. Doumbia is indeed more experienced, especially in the CL, but I'm still not sure of him given he's made the step up on the league side.

I do agree on Castan, but if he does recover fully, he will be the defensive leader we so desperately need. Pair him with Manolas and I think that works well. I disagree completely on Strootman though as we must show faith in him. He's a phenomenal player when he is fit so it makes sense to give him as much time as needed for that to happen so he can return to previous levels. No one's going to want him this summer anyway given he's still injured.

As for Paredes, he's still an unknown. Hasn't had the chance to properly play in the Pjanic role for him to be judged as a true vice-Pjanic. When that happens consistently, then I'll re-evaluate him.

No idea who will win, because both teams tend to lose every important game but one has to get the result.
