Why is Benz absent?

Anyways Malaga are a very tough team. We can not rotate in this game. Hopefully we can score 1 or 2 goals early so that we can sub some players out to get some rest. Its working wonders for Kroos as he has regained his form in recent games who would've thought eh?

Goes without saying- must win.
Malaga is probably the 2nd hardest league game left and Carlo
is in a peculiar situation. Rest for Atleti or go all out?
CL or La liga, which is more important?

There is a 4day break between the games so we might be able to go all out and rest for Vigo away

Hala, Benzema has complained of pains to his right knee during yesterday's final training session ahead of the Malaga game, and had to quit the session during the opening warm-up rounds.

The good news is, it's nothing serious. Carlo said that he'll be available for the Atléti game. This is probably just a precaution.

I heard in some previous news that Bale had a muscle fatigue and could miss the malaga match. I hope he gets played so that his muscles could get more fatigued by wednesday banana

Atletico madrid have boundless energy and i think they have more energy than us despite the fact that they would be playing just as many games as us. They have the advantage of a smart manager who rotates most of his players and ends up bringing out the best in all of them.

If the news about gareth bale's is injury is true, then the best line-up for this match should be:

arbeloa, pepe, ramos, marcelo
kroos modric james isco
ronaldo chicharito

subs: jese for ronaldo
Lucas silva for modric
illaramendi for kroos.

Isco should have enough energy to play two full matches, likewise james.
jese could come in for james while Ronaldo could still be on the field without stressing himself.
The midfielders can just hold the ball up endlessly as we preserve our lead so ronaldo doesnt need to stress himself running around.

Malaga are a poor team tbh. Can't see why Jese, Illarra, Varane and Chica can't start and still win.

Malaga are tougher than Atleti. They actually attack while staying as compact in defence. Not gonna take this game lightly at all

Alot lot lot loooot more control of a game without Bale. We had nearly 80% possession when did that last happen?? Answer the last time we played this midfield. Hope he is ok though just not in time for Wednesdays game. Atleti play similar to Malaga we will run rings round them with this midfield

Also Jese shouldve come on and not Chica but chica works hard so I am ok for now

Chicha does way more with his time on the pitch that Jesé tbh

Jesé hasn't been the same since his injury and does the same thing Bale does just worse

James ffs  the dude looks so good on that right side. Hope Carlo has his eyes open. The connection between our rb and him is great. The moment he has the ball our rb rushes up because they know he wont go solo

Awful game from Marcelo. The dude could've cost us so many goals. He needs to fcking attempt to block crosses ffs

Isco didn't have the best of games either but he always made himself available and kept posession well

Ronaldo as usual doesn't need to have a good game to score

Chica played very well and deserved to score a goal

Illarramendi was amazing when he came on, he won so many balls that started our counters and even attacked himself. If Modric is injured he needs to play exactly like he did today and we won't miss the croatian

Apart from that good game apart from a few scares mainly down Marcelos side

Also notice how nobkdy goes missing when Bale doesn't play, everybody want the ball and interchange position. This makes us difficult to defend against

Damn looks like Benz, Modric and Bale are out.

I wouldn't mind Chica full time, he has proved to be a nice hand. Balague did say that he didn't celebrate, because apparently he doesn't feel respected. Bit of a surprise that.

Also Ronaldo misses a pen, scores a goal and grabs 2 assists yet he had one of his quieter nights. Stats who needs them? Laughing

Great win though, but that last minute in regular time tough... affraid

Ronaldo our best player, Isco and Marcelo the worst.

The team looks so much better without ...

Modric has a ligament damage apparently and may be out for the rest of the season No

Time for Illarra to step up and show Carlo he wants to start

Modric is our midfield general, losing him is a huge blow. I don't believe Illarra has what it takes, technically and intelligence-wise, to replace Modric. I have seen enough of him already to come to the conclusion that he's not good enough for Real Madrid.

Tonight, however, he had a great game when he came on. But that's one of his problems. He can give you a good performance for a game and then screws things up for the next 10. He's not consistent.

Losing Modric is a huuuuge blow to our title bid and CL compaign. Still, I'll support Illarra and hope that he'll make me eat my words against Atlético.

I hope Bale is ok...but I also hope he's ruled out for the rest of the season.

No Marcelo, probably no Modric,Benzema and Coentrao. God help us.

Iker
Carvajal Pepe Ramos Arbeloa
James Illarra Kroos Isco
Cristiano Chicharito

The only good thing is that Bale won't play. If Benz isn't fit for Wendsday's game, hopefully Jese will take his spot. And play Illarra as the DLP and advance Kroos a bit, not the other way around.

and also

You all need to gimme credit for predicting bale's injury if he starts. Best news ever..
@valkyrja
If you go to my thread about Ancelotti's bale error, you will see that I said isco's form would start to drop and its all Ancelotti's fault.
This people are human and not computer game characters.
We all know Isco has been a beast this season.
No madrid player has received as much standing ovations as him this season
No madrid player's name has been chanted as much but foolish Ancelotti decides to bench him because he doesn't have the balls to bench useless bale.
When a player gives his all and you tell him you are not good enough by benching him, you don't expect him to come on to the field of play and give his best again knowing that his best is not enough.
If isco never shows that sparkling form again, then blame it on Carlo.
I predict isco flopping till the rest of the season.
Now, modric is most likely out till the end of the season and carlo will need isco but this time around, he would not perform cos he has been betrayed.
Even if modric's injury is not serious, Bale is hopefully goin to be injured for a long time and Carlo will need isco but he would not perform.
I wudnt forgive carlo if Isco doesn't return to form again
By the way, good win

We are just so unlucky.
Why does modric have to get injured when we finally had our dreams come true.
I was looking forward to a total demolition of atletico and a match that would give the dumb Carlo the conviction that a Baleless madrid is the best.
Bale should be out for atletico and I hope he plays 4-4-2 with illara or lucas taking modric's place
No 4-3-3 please.

no lucas pls. he's horrible, didn't understand what we saw at him.

valk XI is good enough. i was hoping for nacho as lb replacement, but sadly carlo been warming up/prepared arbeloa these recent few matches, so he might be better choice.
