oh ok well i agree on that their is more to it than stats, i think any player can be the best regardless of goals or assists

Don't think he has done enough to be considered undisputedly the best player after Messi and CR, but the fact that we flopped in this CL doesn't mean that he can't be top 5 or top 10 players in the world. It wasn't his fault.
And regardless, these top 5/top10 don't have much value because they are so subjective and voluble, and a player underrated or not rated can actually be more impactful than said top 5/10 players, so yea.

I would say they are the 2nd and 3rd best players this season, the order can be what ever, Hazard advanced (dribbles) and created (assists, chance's created) more, Neymar scored more. Then it's Suarez, De Bruyne and Robben.

Neymar scored 39 goals (only 1 penalty!) and created most chances in the CL (if we exclude the Messiah who's just unfairly too good).
Top 3 for the balon dor imo Messi, Neymar, Suarez in that order

Most of those goals were easy finishes, and we can't even call Neymar a great finisher atm. Put Hazard at the end of those chance's and I think the result will be fairly similar.

Tier 1 Messi
Tier 2 Neymar Hazard
Tier 3 Suarez De Bruyne Robben

I don't appreciate Poachnaldo the same way I didn't appreciate Gomez when he poached 41 goals, wasn't even Ballon d'Or shortlist.

The Franchise wrote:Hazard is still on the come up. Lets not compare him to established names like Neymar just yet.
Once Hazard starts doing anything we can actually talk about in the real competitions we can perhaps consider comparing.
But at the moment he doesnt have a chance. Neymar wins the eye test, wins over the stats nerds and has credentials due to performances on said level. Neymar every 2 weeks had performances in the CL Hazard doesnt have the capacity to achieve given his current level.
Simply put we are comparing two different levels of player here. Put Hazard up against people on a similar rung of the ladder, the Bale's for example. Once these kind of guys have finished refining their games it would be more interesting. Perhaps once Mourinho leaves he can be free to express himself, or maybe he will go to Madrid or something where positive football is encouraged.

Hazard already Top 20 alltime agree?
I suppose Gil wanted to post this here.
Watching this video it's clear why Hazard is nowhere near top 3.
Probably the second best dribler in the world, but look at all those plays that end in nothing: Weak shots, awful passes, stupid rabonas.... and most of the time just dead ends.
Most of it it's the product of him dribling with his head down too much. Compare him to Messi, who dribles mostly with his head up or alternating up-down, and you see the difference.
Would sign him with my eyes shut in 5 seasons though. At his age bracket he is surely top 3.

Please use sense for once perez. He would be a great replacement (not directly) for cr.
Re: With Hazard firmly establishing himself as a Top 3 player this season, what next for the Belgian Genius?
Hazard would get ran out of town if he brought the same attitude he has for Chelsea to Madrid.
Showing up to preseason so FAT that he isn't even in shape until October.
Hiding in matches when the midfield gets dominated.
Poor finishing of chances.
Hazard would do well to go to PSG. A place where he can come in fat, dominate a weak league, and then show off his techniques against some poor opposition to get people making a youtube video of him.
Jose is wrong to call him out like this, but he would get it much worse in madrid. Bale was slightly out of form and he had some unemployed spanish youths attacking his car as he drove home. Security didnt even try to stop them. Hazard shows up looking like he just ate some super sized McDonalds value meals the morning of, and nobody says anything.

Adit, go add your 2 cents in the griezmann thread in th rm section pls
as for hazard, it's hard to imagine Perez breaking the transfer threshold for hazard. Certainly not in this form...

I agree with Betty, he would get absolutely murdered by Marca and As if he played like this season.

Hazard is great in 1v1, great dribbler, he would have enough flash even without substance, to get away with a lot of things.

because he wasnt scoring enough, different position, different expectations.
He would still get abused, but the fancy tricks and dribble would allow him to avoid a lot of stuff
