one shot all of them with a shot gun ffs. Even the captain only took 2 shotgun shells

Spoiler:
I really wanted to loot the captain for his super gun, but I mistakenly made the decision not to loot him before I had cleared out the area and killed everyone.. and after the battle ended, all that was left was an inferno of rubble and crap. I tried going back and looking for his body, but I couldn't find it in all of the flames and debris surrounding the downed BOS battleship.

What difficulty setting are you playing on? Razz

I took a long break from the game due to work (about 3 months) right when I was about to head into the Institute for the first time. I started playing again 2 days ago to find out
Spoiler:
that Shaun was the leader of the Institute. Said I'd join him, walked around the place, then cut his head off and slaughtered everything in there. I'm going to reload it from right before I kill him just to see how this goes, but 0% chance I'm siding with the kid.

Brotherhood all the way!

Done both endings.

Spoiler:

Loved the final montage.

However not sure i liked either endings. Hated Shaun and wasn't big on Elder Max either. If only Minutemen could have taken over commonwealth (:

Technically
Spoiler:
the Sole Survivor would be leader of the Commonwealth as he's the leader of the Minutemen. Which absolutely CAN happen, by the way.

And RG talking about "both endings" as though there's only 2.

I believe there are 5 endings. BOS, Railway, Shaun's gang of hobos , Minutemen.. and the one where you manage to keep all factions from fighting each other.

you can do that? keep all factions from fighting?

thought there were only 3 endings, BOS, Institute and Railroad. Those three were the only trophy related ones.

There's a guide for it on Youtube. It's a frustrating process and it's not worth it, imo Razz

Enough Food, enough water, enough beds, enough defense (150+ generally), and at least 20 settlers in the population.  Anyone NOT needed for food should be put at upgraded First Aid/Food vendor stands.

Your settlement won't reach 100 happiness, unless you're in your settlement while the happiness stat is increasing... unless, they've patched it. My Castle matched all of the qualifications for an ideal setting in this regard, but I couldn't be arsed to sit around and wait for it to hit 100.

Re: Fallout 4

I absolute loved the exploring side of the game. I spent 95% of the game exploring and 5% on the story after skipping majority of the dialogues.

It was a good game. Worth playing. Was my first fallout game as well so definitely worth the time i spent. Will be playing fallout 5 whenever it comes out

Story was quite shit though. I guess story is an afterthought in a game like this. But I do agree with the critics that the game could have done with maybe more type of enemies.

I don't think i remember more than 3-4 characters even after spending so long in it. None are memorable apart from Strong who I thought was the best character in the game.

I'll see if i can be bothered with the DLC. But hearing it's quite big so why not. We'll see.

Overall I'd give it 7.9/10

story was the worst ever in this one IMO, you should get on new vegas eventually, with mods on PC it should still hold up, I quit it about 1/6th of the way in due to fatigue but I hear it's very good.

I loved exploring the open world in this at the time because I love the setting but when I think back, it wasn't particularly rewarding. There wasn't too many great secrets/sidequests to find.
