I think he is worth 8-10 million. If we spread half of that over three years, he can enjoy a 25k premium on his present salary.

I'm still very apprehensive about him. Predominantly due to how our previous free-signings went. But I have good vibe about this too.

I'm happy with this piece of business. Milner will be a strong addition to the team. If he really is being given a role in central midfield having Henderson - Milner will keep the other team on their toes with their high energy pressing and movement.

Also I don't care what anyone says about his talent or what he brings, but any player willing to take a pay cut and give up CL to play for us is a good sign imo

He's not taking a pay cut.

His wages are more than he was getting at City.

He just rejected even higher wages from them, is all. But I'm pretty certain we paid him a hefty signing-on fee to compensate for that. It made sense for us since we weren't paying a transfer fee we were okay with giving some money to Milner upfront and lesser base wage than what City were offering.

Also he's moving for game time not really because he's in love with out club or anything.

This is what happens when you are actually willing to pay players good money. They will forget about excuses like London and CL and still join you.

I really rate this guy, I think he'll be a particularly good signing for us given that he's come for free as far as transfer fee is concerned.
