my first play through of dark souls 1 took me 80 hrs m8

takes about 8 if u rush through and know shortcuts which you obviously wont

also was watching a stream recently and it's unreal how outdated it looks now considering it's just 4 years old

i will post the story here if you don't get around to playing the first two

I am not as hardcore imo.

I'll still try to play it though since its apparently the best in the series so dont want to feel left out

i already made a japanese PSN account and bought the game last month, will smash it for 2.5 weeks then play the english version

all NPC's speak in english in japanese version and items have numbers for stats, will only miss out on item descriptions/area names but there are so many people doing it that all the info/questions I have will be on reddit

releases in about 11 days


can't wait, i 've been watching some recent gameplay footage and one of the areas and enemies looks like bloodborne 2.0. I think you'll love the game this time compared to dark souls since it seems like a hybrid of the two just in a GOAT setting. Prefer it to Bloodborne setting wise.

i've seen a lot of NPC throwbacks to DS1 with name drops though which you won't be able to appreciate:(

it also seems like they 100% rectified their error regarding NPC's not being very interesting in bloodborne and DS2 because there are tons now

I think i would love DS1 as well if it was on PS4. Shame they didn't remaster it before DS3. I tried it on pc but my pc isn't that great and i dont like how clunky it is on my current graphics.

Really can't wait. My most awaited game of 2016 (FF15 is 2017 probably).

Think FF15 is coming out this year actually, they have a big event to announce the release date this month and sent out a survey asking how they would feel about releasing it up against Persona 5.

Although with that game anything is possible

speaking of which, on xbox ppl are playing the FULL ENGLISH version already, if you buy from the japanese store there and switch your region back to an english speaking one your game switches to the english one ffs

pretty good so far, i'm still on the first couple of areas

first boss killed me a few times and ppl have said he's easy lol

noticing TONS of similarities with bloodborne especially the second area, feels straight out of BB

heard they reused some assets from it so not suprising

i am about 1/3 through i imagine, maybe a bit more than that idk

bosses are far too easy so far, heard they get hard late on though

quite a few gimmick boss fights so far

Still making my way through the first one. Should get to Dark Souls 3 in a couple years

game has some HUGE WTF moments relating to Dark Souls 1, so playing through that will pay off. You'll think nothing of them otherwise.

Personally I'm glad that my playing DS1 has spanned over the entire academic year so far, it keeps me from punching a hole in my wall.

It's certainly possible, but I wouldn't suggest it tbh

The way i play it I doubt i'll be able to rush through it.

Not to mention i will have to play on inferior PC so that's another issue
