Re: Let's say we have 150m euros, who are the first 5 players you buy for Milan?
I'd personally like to see Gabriel spend another year on loan at Carpi and gain experience in Serie A. I doubt Napoli are going to want to spend any more than 5 million on him with Reina returning and Rafael still on their books. I don't see much use to keeping him around as a back up this season however, I'd rather he be out playing regularly or sold.
As for Rami, if he wishes to go to Sevilla then we shouldn't stand in his way. We got him to pay part of his own transfer fee then made him suffer under a poor coach, best of luck to him in the future.
Abbiati's renewal I am fine with, now that we have Lopez as a reliable first choice keeper it doesn't really matter who our reserve is and Abby's just part of the furniture.
As for Nastasic, he's not a defensive giant but he can be a decent addition with the right partner. I'd have been happy to have him before we started splashing the cash everywhere but now that we've decided to start investing seriously I'd rather we pursue the other targets we've been linked with first.

Also Dante's point about Ely is very important. Prior to last season, Romagnoli and Rugani were entirely unknown quantities. They were the subject of a degree of hype due to their performances at youth level but no one knew how well they'd adapt to Serie A. Their first years in Serie A were their break out years.
Here our decision must come down to the coach. If Sinisa looks at Ely in training and decides that he's able to immediately step up to the plate then I'll trust in his judgement. If he's serious about pushing for Romagnoli then give him what he wants. Is it too much money? In previous years, certainly. If money is no issue though, then all that matters is that you get your targets. Having spent quite a bit in the opening weeks already on a striker - inb4GL -and midfielder it will say a lot if we then go out and pay whatever is necessary for a defender. This is the point where you'd expect Milan to suddenly chicken out and start trying to get secondary targets on loans with options to buy. If we make a move for Romagnoli it is a huge sign of intent that the money's just going to keep flowing.

Re: Let's say we have 150m euros, who are the first 5 players you buy for Milan?
So Roma doesn't value Romagnoli at 30m , but 20m , if reports are to be believed. 20m changes things , however it's still expensive .
As for making a point with the spending Dosto , well , i agree . But the thing is , this doesn't need to happen with a 20 year old CB , which you can't even commercialise . Do that with a player that will attract people in the stadium , that you'll see his face on Cheetos or something , a player who you will see on TV somewhere .
Had we spent 30m on a 20 year old CB , that is as risky and ilogical as it gets . I am not even sure it gets the point across really , it kinda shows more desperation if anything .
You want to make a statement ?? Break the bank for Isco or something. 30m on Romagnoli would have been outrageous , he had one good season and he's 20 , you don't know if he's the next Ranocchia or not. Maybe he isn't , but taking a 30m risk to find out is a huge nope .
If the question is if the money are going to keep flowing , you could do that with 18-20m for Romagnoli and would still be the same thing. But if we are to make a statement for everyone to know we are pretty serious once again , they have to break the bank on somebody big .

No need, I believe in Zlatan's Great Escape.
PSG's FFP restrictions have been lifted according to L'Equipe so they're free to go and purchase a star to replace Ibra.
You do raise an excellent point about marketability but sadly I don't think we'll be able to obtain any target bar Ibra who would capture the imagination of fans. If we return to the Champions League in 12 months on the basis of a great season then I can definitely see us going after someone flashy though.

IMO it's a neccesity that we buy 2 starting CB's. We aren't going to finish 3rd with either Alex or Paletta as starters.

Yep. We're not even going to finish 3rd with either of those 2 as 3rd choice CB. At the moment, the difference between our project and Inter's is that we've completely neglected the defence. They've replaced 3 of their back 4 with Miranda, Murillo and Montoya. Meanwhile, we've only bought Ely back.
