I just realized that Rickon is barely younger than Myrcella, and look how she turned out. The gruesome end aside. Meaning he was like 6 or 7, right? So he's 12 or 13 now? That's about Tommens age, that's old enough to rally the Banners, you're right.

New actor for Rickon prehaps? Like they did with Myrcella.

Hopefully Rickon finally becomes important to the story.

When Rickon comes back I hope he is a wild crazy mofo, like the old Kings of the North who gives 0 *bleep* about anyone but Osha and not a softie like the rest of his family.

lol it's in the Stark blood to be soft. The best we could hope for is for him to grow leadership qualitites like Robb, and then try to stay alive for as long as he can.

Historically not at all. Old Starks were hard mofos. Ned's brother was a massive hothead. Rickon did display a lot of hotheadedness in his young age, I can see him being a ruthless King In The North, riding his direwolf into battle. At the age of 9. hmm hmm

Isnt he called the Untamed wolf or something ? Going by that he sure sounds a badass fckr. And dont forget ShaggyDog. bounce Probably the most exciting direwolf of them lot. The real untamed wolf !! I am waiting to see Sd and Nymeria again.

Btw @ El G There's Arya who aint soft for one. So if Rickon's a male version of Arya then, its gonna be cool. Hope he is more badass than Arya.

Now that season 5 is ended, David & Dan have already written the scripts for S6 and have announced casting calls for the new season before starting filming. Obviously no book spoilers below but I'm putting this in a spoiler tag just in case someone doesn't want to read them and the post is long anyway.

Spoiler:

Pirate, man in his 40s to late 50s. Hes an infamous pirate who has terrorized seas all around the world. Cunning, ruthless, with a touch of madness.
Hes a dangerous-looking man. A very good part this season.

Father, Aged 50s to 60s, hes one of the greatest soldiers in Westeros- a humorless martinet, severe and intimidating. He demands martial discipline in the field and in his home. Its described as a very good part for next year and that hes centrally involved in a protagonists storyline.

The next three characters appear to be linked to this storyline. All have the same comment about being centrally involved in a protagonists storyline.

Mother, in her 50s. Shes a sweet, plump, and adoring mother, and has a soft spot for one of her children who benefits from her decency.

Sister, in her early 20s. Shes a kind, friendly and unpretentious woman.

Brother, in his early to mid-20s . Athletic, a good hunter, an excellent swordsman, manly, not particularly bright but the favourite child of the father.

Next up:

Priest in his 40s or 50s. A gruff ex-soldier who found religion. Now a no-nonsense rural priest who ministers to the poor of the countryside. Hes salt-of-the-earth man who has weathered many battles.

A few more roles:

Leading Actress, in her early 40s, shes an elegant actress with a traveling theatre company. Fun, charismatic, rum-drinking actress in the troupe.

Priestess, Mid-20s to early 30s. Any ethnicity- shes beautiful, intense, and magnetic.

Fierce Warrior, a tall man in 30s or 40s with a powerful physique. Theyre looking for someone with mixed ethnicity for the role.

They're also searching for a trio of young boys with very specific descriptions. My instinct says another flashback- perhaps this time via the weirwood network?

A large boy, with an actor who is 10-12 but playing 7 or 8. Hes described as a clever boy who seems too large for his age. Hes big and tall but not fat. Characterful squat features are a plus for this part. its specified that this is a one-time appearance.

12 year old boy, with brown hair and blue eyes. He needs to use a Northern accent. He has scenes where he has to spar with a wooden sword.
The length of the role isnt specified.

7 year old boy with dark brown hair, a narrow face and green eyes. He also has a Northern accent. He also spars with the wooden sword, so its safe to assume its the same scene. This role is similarly open-ended, the description only stating that the character is being introduced.

Its worth noting that Sean Bean has green eyes, so if this is for a flashback role, the write-up would be a good fit for a child Ned.

Qhogo and Akrat: They’re seeking mixed ethnicity or other non-white actors for the roles. The successful young warriors need to be tall, confident, with swagger and linguistic bravado. It’s noted that the actors will have to speak in a fictional language. I think it’s safe to say that these are Dothraki.

Bower: He is a powerless servant, numb to the horror he serves. He’s filming around one of the days that below “outlaw band” members are so he may be connected to them. He is required to have a Northern or Midland English accent and appears in one episode.

Lachlan:  He’s the big leader of a group of renegades who have turned on the land that they swore to protect. They’re now extorting the poor and vulnerable.  He appears in 2 episodes in season 6.

Flynn: He’s part of an outlaw band. The group is using religion to justify terrorizing and extorting what they need from the people of the countryside. He appears in 2 episodes in season 6. He appears to be part of Lachlan’s band.

Japeth: Another member of the outlaw band is this lieutenant. He’s a “rough-and-ready type” with a strong physical presence, also appearing two episodes.

Legendary Fighter:  A man in his thirties or forties who is a great swordsman and a paragon of knighthood. He carries a hugely famous sword on his back.  The show is seeking a very impressive swordsman for the role- the best in Europe, for a week of filming fight scenes for a season 6 role. His ethnicity/race isn’t specified, unlike many other roles.

Lord of Noble Northern House: (Casting age anywhere between 25-50) The lord is a savage warrior, and he rules a distinguished house in the very far North, and the role is said to be an impactful one. He’s described as a massive bear of a man with a beard and temper to match, and hatred that run deep, and he can be violent. The show’s looking for someone with a powerful physique who can tower over other cast members, a Northern English Accent and specifies he has to be at least 180 cm tall. The role will be on 2 episodes.

Lord of Northern Stronghold: The show’s looking for an actor in his late thirties or forties to play another lord, one that’s ruthless and calculating. The frightening lord rules a vassal household with a castle stronghold. He’ll be in 3 episodes this year, with 20 days of filming this summer and fall.

Hunter: He’s a rough army officer on the hunt appearing in an action scene with main cast, in one episode.

Submissive Maester: The show’s casting a maester in his twenties- a timid young maester. He’s decent but has trouble standing up to others. He appears in one episode in season 6.

Green Recruit: A young man with one line and one day of filming in August.

Sympathiser 1, 2 & 3  These are rough military types, with a day of filming.

Housemaid:  She’s the motherly nanny (with a tight whip) to a large household.
The show wants an actress between the ages of 45-65 with a Northern English Accent. She’ll be in 2 episodes.

Father: He’s tough and old, an alpha male patriarch. The show is looking for a man with a Northern English Accent. He appears in one episode and has 2 lines.

They're looking for the "best swordsman in Europe" for a role Shocked

Its fun all these theories people are coming up with.
One guy on yt was asking viewers to notice the gradual rise in the rate at which the blood was flowing through snow and then claiming it wasnt blood at all but the same dark substance which constituted the body of stannis's demon child. Laughing

Been rewatching Got again since it's so long time ago. On S1 right now. Forgot how many goat characters we had compared to now.

Ned, Robb, Robert, Selmy, Drogo, Tywin, Renly etc.

Now we got *bleep* Brienne, Olly, Tommen, High sparrow, Sansa and so forth smh.

Really hope we get some new intresting & goat characters in S6.

That's kinda pathetic really. Need an influx of proper characters. Not generic scrubs.

I don't expect too many new characters, we are entering the end game in S6.

Pirate, man in his 40s to late 50s. Hes an infamous pirate who has terrorized seas all around the world. Cunning, ruthless, with a touch of madness.
Hes a dangerous-looking man. A very good part this season

This sounds like someone you'd like Proud
