How come the brilliant Brazil team (think WC 1970, WC 1958) never won the Copa America?

as i said before ca started, ,historically we just dont care about it. If you enter our main sports news website today there isnt a single mention of our game tonight. We could go out and no one would care. I mean, in 2007 we sent our b team Laughing

It was like this at the libertadores too until the 90s. Our clubs spent several years refusing participations in sa competitions. Thats why pele only won twice for example

Another reason why copa america is one of the most useless competition out there.

The best team ever in SA don't even value that cup.
It has no qualifiers..so even the shittiest team gets direct pass.
It has guest team in it..no way a serious competition have guest teams in it.
Said it four years ago in this forum itself.

Hard to argue Ospina wasn't MOTM though

Murlllo shot an awful penalty kick but he played a great Copa America, I hope he will be legit also in Serie A.
Surely Pozzo is suffering atm , it was the ideal moment to exploit the hype on him , and nothing is better than Pozzo about this.
Strange mistake by him , nothing creates hype on football more than a NT tournament . Easily more than a Granada season.

He also grabbed and threw Otamendi to the ground in what should have resulted in a penalty call...

lmao Mole. Pretty sure you'd sound differently if it was De Gea Laughing

Those have nothing to do with luck, all with reflexes.

De Gea has a career of reactions like that, Ospina has one game hmm

Also some of them wasn't the initial save before the fantastic save from Messi's header he knew nothing about.

The 2nd and last gif is exactly the same.

Mole Ospina was motm. This Messi motm awards shows why individual awards bar top goal scorers mean zilch.

Well, guess you're right.

Ospina gets lucky here the ball hits the post, even if he steered it there with a quickly stretched arm.

Compare that to a true World Class save

Apparently when Kun complained about the harsh play to the ref, the ref responded "This is America, lads" Laughing

He did:

"I don't understand, it seems that they play another football in South America. The ref told me "This is America, lads" and we're from here and we're used to it. But there were many rough plays.

"Our style is to go out and play football and we have to stay that way. Because of the penalties one always thinks the worst at that moment, but in the end we were able to get the victory, after playing a good game"

Why is Gago called up just to warm the bench instead of Enzo Perez who had a great World Cup last summer with Argentina?
