Benteke vs Giroud

That said, I still strongly maintain that Giroud's deficiencies are so well rehearsed & harped upon by fans/media that people just don't want to give him credit for what he is good at. Forever the underdog.

For the stats freaks:

Benteke has 42 goals from 88 games in the league in 3 years. 49 from 100 including cups.

Giroud has 41 from 97 in the league in the same 3 years. 58 from 134 including cups (including Europe).

Giroud should get brownie points for perfect looks though

I'm not  a big fan of Benteke, but sometimes I see a little bit of a tankstyle Eto'o in him, so I'll go with him. Giroud was decent last season, but his overall return since he is in England is underwhelming considering the team he plays in.

After the Swindon and Chelsea games...advantage, Benteke. What a goal!!

Not a fan of either of them tbh, But at the moment Giroud until i see Benteke for 6 months in a Liverpool shirt.

He's too much of a confidence player, completely hides when his team doesnt play well. you've noticed how he hardly makes runs haven't you?...he can make runs, but he's just scared to.

Making clever off the ball runs constantly and demanding the ball at difficult times is what makes a great player; its what scouts look for and is the difference between a skillful £10million player and a skillful £40million player. Thats why its so difficult to judge players on youtube...

yeah I see what you mean. like Liverpool are making as many chances and playing better football than arsenal right now.

I don't think thats the problem. what I see is teams chucking the ball in the box for the striker to head in beating us week in week out and us not using benteke to do the same thing to them.
