Payet is so much better than Firmino its not even funny.Unique wrote:but we still shouldent lose as much as we do against teams with worst players and managers than us. lets face it no matter how much people thing rodgers is crap. swapping him for bilic would not improve us. would we swap our front 3 for the west ham front 3. not in a million years.ExtremistEnigma wrote:Unique wrote:why does liverpool get beat by poor teams so often. i can understand getting beat by good teams but time and time again teams with avarage players and avarage managers beat us more than they should.
Seems to like this is what regularly happens with midtable clubs aka we are average.

good for him. but i think firmino needs more than 1 and half games before we can judge him.farfan wrote:Payet is so much better than Firmino its not even funny.Unique wrote:but we still shouldent lose as much as we do against teams with worst players and managers than us. lets face it no matter how much people thing rodgers is crap. swapping him for bilic would not improve us. would we swap our front 3 for the west ham front 3. not in a million years.ExtremistEnigma wrote:

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '15-'16 V3
There is nothing inherently wrong with doing step overs and trying to control a ball from the back.
Lovren, God bless his soul, tried a step over while being I would assume 5-10 yards away from any player. Then he did with one foot and tried to, predictably, beat the man with that same foot in the direction that we all saw coming. Then he proceeded to try to play the ball from the back with the footballing technique of a fish. Immensely hilarious and downright frustrating at the same time.
Point being, Liverpool should have left his ass at Southampton.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '15-'16 V3
Not sure why everyone is harping on the defence. We've allowed 3 goals in 4 games, and they all came in the same game, and they weren't really indicative of the overall defensive organization so much as individual mistakes that shouldn't have happened. Where were the Lovren haters when he was a big part of keeping clean sheets in the first three games, including that against Arsenal?
The real issue with Liverpool is that they aren't creating offence, and they don't know how to break down a parked bus. Any team in the league right now can play a compact 10 behind the ball counter-attacking strategy and have a good or better chance of beating us because Rodgers doesn't seem to know how to play with width, and refuses to play with two strikers now (honestly, if he is going to force the play through the middle he should at least be setting up with two strikers and a diamond).
The longer the attack is impotent, and the easier Rodgers is to set up against, the harder the job will become for the defence. There's no excusing the goal Lovren caused today because it was asinine, but the first goal was not on him, and the last goal you had Skrtel, Lucas and Moreno all just watching Sakho slot the ball home. There's plenty of blame to go around on the team for the goals against, but it's irrelevant when we couldn't create jack shit for scoring chances ourselves anyway.
Also lol at the idea of Payet being "so much better than Firmino".

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '15-'16 V3
first things first. the guy that said payet is better than firmino is just trolling. before he came to west ham the guy had never seen payet play. the problem is defending the 2nd ball. it has killed us for 3 years. against arsenal when we sat back and dug in we had plenty of players behind the ball. so the 2nd ball was never a problem. when we go on the attack and push men forward we are light at the back and when the ball gets knocked into the box our defenders flap. its a weak header and we have no one to chalange the 2nd ball. how rodgers cant see that is crazy. forget about west ham parking the bus and us not scoring. arsenal.chelsea. and man u are all finding it hard to score from teams parking the bus. the problem we have is trying to defend when we play a attacking game. the truth is we cant do both. we can sit back and defend our goal fine. but we cant defend when we push men on to attack. the problem with us is we go a goal down and its game over.Curtinho wrote:Not sure why everyone is harping on the defence. Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '15-'16 V3
If Rodgers is going to insist on playing Lovren, Lovren needs to be told to keep the things simple like he managed to do against Arsenal and before. BR is trying to make out of Lovren something which he will never be.
