Re: Sportin Gijon vs Real Madrid

And why does this club, this huge club that saw some legendary players wear its shirt succumb to alleged Cristiano's demands? If it is true and I don't doubt it, then it's Real Madrid's fault for allowing this situation to fester to a point where he does what he wants. Ronaldo is an employee, not the employer.

Anyway, it doesn't absorb Cristiano from any bad performances (which he has a lot) but I would always see the club as the one who should be able to rectify these issues and not bend to a player's demands. But I can't solely blame one player for our lack of trophies. If you can, then you do what you must my friend but I respectfully disagree. Big time...

We have a team that just plays out of position

We have AM's playing on the wings (Although James and Isco do well there, i think they are better centrally), Not one true winger, whatever kind of player Bale is playing 10, Ronaldo and Jese at 9, and Kroos at CM trying to play a Pirlo-esque role.

As long as we have this kind of problem, there will always be problems. Hopefully Benitez finds the best possible finds a way to keep everyone happy including Perez Laughing

@doc the team plays mainly for cr so he has to get a brunt of the blame, for the amount of the touches he gets he is wasteful, its not that i don't appreciate his goals, but winning games comes first.

the most determination i have seen from cr recently, was the whole balloon'dor incident and look how rubbish he played then, just kicking the ball away without a care until he scores, awful stuff that gets rewarded anyway Laughing, and we wonder why bale thinks he can suck but scoring makes it ok, he had to pick that up from someone right?

ramos said it himself even though he's no better, that cr only cares for his petty goals and nothing else, that exactly how he plays, ever since he has been at the club.

Bale has been alot better no doubt, he made about 10 more passes than Isco for example who likes to pass at 57 passes and not his usual 5-10 he did last season.

What I think people are getting at here (myself included) is that eventhough as an individual Bale is playing better by losing the ball less and not running with it in straight lines and also tracking back alot, he is not playing like an actual CAM, I didn't see him making a single attempt at a through ball, did not come down collect the ball and attempt to dictate play, he can't play one twos and to top it all off just to upgrade Bale from crap to ok we have to play Isco as a RW a position he has never played before (probably once or twice in his whole career) and he looked beyond horrific as a result, play James on the wings where all he does is cross in and lose the ball because of his crappy first touch and Ronaldo has noone to play him balls behind the defence because we are not playing with a creative AM our creative players either pushed to just make crosses or a far down the pitch you barely notice them

Bale's game revolves around making passes to our fullbacks and running into the box to attempt to get onto the end of the crosses, I also see him constantly make runs when our cbs have the ball, it's annoying to see because he isn't our striker he is a midfielder. Also whenever he goes to the wing isco is still staying in his position, either there is a complete lack of communication or there is not tactics to actually follow

This game:

Isco looked crap
Marcelo looked crap
Ronaldo looked crap
James looked crap
Modric looked crap
Kroos was average
Danilo is riding out his last minutes

But Bale looked good

That's basically our whole team looking bad because they are all either playing in uncomfortable positions or are asked to play uncomfortable roles

I'd rather we go back to him as RW, I am sure we can sacrifice that side of the pitch like we did in our CL winning season

If you think this Bale did good as a CAM, then you have forgotten how a true CAM operates and I ask you to refresh your memories by watching Silva for City or Ozil for us. Those are proper CAM, Bale is basically playing the Fellaini role but without the hoofing. He would fit right in at United

Usually, when Hala makes a lovely point and post, Futbol shows up somehow, somewhere, over the rainbow. I away that dork's presence.

Anyway, good post there Hala, that should end most arguments here. In theory anyway.

Danilo played fine imo so I'm pretty sure that is Hala's bias talking (along with mine) but Bale was decent.

Definitely the bias in me talking there. There is something about that lad that doesn't excite me, is it the combination of price and player we got that decieved me. I dont know what it is but I find him awfully bang average. For a guy seemingly renowned for his attacking prowess he doesn't even show half of that hype on the pitch. If Coentrao leaves he can be a good back up on either side of the defence, so it wouldn't be wasted money then

So, what you are trying to say is, that, essentially, Bale is much better than Di Maria. Got it. (:

He hasn't excelled in offence yet. But he had a really good defensive game imo. Had some great pressures and interception. Offense still needs some adjusting, just like most new signings does.

Everyone not in Defense was awful last game imo. It's all due to playing to many similar styled players. It's like a FIFA line-up.

@fusballearning, pls go. I think Bale and Nerman are on a level playing field, Bale had the upper hand in the firet season and Nerman in the second, both will have average third season and Woody will then come to the rescue by offering to buy Nerman for 100mill and Bale for 101mill. ADM or the saviour of Argentina as I like to call him will chill playing next to Veratti and will be whispering sweet nothings about Madrid in his ear

@Freeza, offensively Sporting where horrendous, we basically camped in their half in the second half and not once did he offer anything going forward, he was then predictably subbed off. Average player imo.

@Valk, Not Khedira level bad but he and Bale have the worst first touches in our team. Navas is probably up there but not a single other player has a bad touch. His is pretty awful if I am to tell you the truth

@haplessmadrid2, pls go. Nerman and Bale on a level playing field. What next? Di Maria is not the biggest transfer flop in Premier League history? rofl In the Mule League no less where even Pedro looks like prime Riquelme.

As night turns to day, as Chad gets his jim jams rustled over Benzema, Futbol and Hala continue to make GL love on the internet.

Also, no way in hell does James have a poor first touch. Think you're confusing James with Di Maria.

What's everyone so excited about... it's one game ffs Laughing

Remember that Carlo's first 4 months at Madrid was absolutely pathetic...  some of the most awful football i have ever seen from a Real Madrid team.  He got it turned around.   All it took was Alonso coming back from injury, Illara/Isco flopping, Khedira taking over for Illara AND, upon Khedira inevitably getting injured, Di Maria taking over as B2B.  Granted, Coentrao was beasting as a 2-way fullback too...  maybe Danilo can do that for us on the right?

Way too early to get crazy...  i know bale is frustrating.  But i have to believe that if the experiment fails long enough, it will be shelved eventually.

Carvajal is better than Danilo based on their respective debuts for Real Madrid, for what it matters. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

Lol fusbillionmillion and our resident doctor as usual trying to worm themselves under my skin with their ADM references, as the saying goes "Admiration is the daughter of ignorance". If ADM wasn't ugly he would br the best playet by now, if I had ample time on my hands I could go back to 1982 and find statistics about his dribbles as a toddler and prove thats why he is the best but don't want to succumb to Jiopsi's level just yet

@sport, I agree it's too early yet I remember last season when we were playing a 424 early in the season but thrn went on to play the best football since he came that actually yielded good results

Still early in the season, while everyone has a right to their frustrations, i think we should leave benitez till the 10th game of the season were we can all make a more broad and detailed assessment of the team.
Also, dont mean to sound like a hipster here but why does it seem like everyone likes to make a mockery of chad even were he hasn't said anything absurd? Or is it like we are trying to say that there are no elements of truth to some things he says on here? Like the bale bit, or some things bout ronaldo (even if he exaggerated a li2) but then again, who doesnt do that on GL?
@Chad, dont u ever learn? Do u like those childish remarks people throw at u? Cant u just resist even a little bit when people try to do u in? Must u always get involved and log-out thesame way every single time? This your personality has made it easy for u to become a target (and rightfully so) and i think u should work on it. You're an adult and not a kid so u shouldnt always be predictable (even if i can undestand why u do so

bankz my bro i understand your point, but i have come to realized whether i post or not, clowns will always want to have a go, you think i don't see thread after thread posters baiting me? of course i do, cause no one is supposed to stand by their own opinions, unless it involves sucking off cr and any other hype player 24/7 for high fives, not happening i say what i want when i want, and i have enough knowledge and info to back up any argument, that why some clowns try to skip the whole argument get straight into a pissing contest, and oblige by smashing them directly.
