Not happy but not upset either. It doesn't look like an easy road to 1st as some other groups have been, but we're in little danger of not qualifying. Some of the other groups have been much worse. None of the three are easy, and since Bate is in Eastern Europe I actually fear them the most.

My brain can't compute what you're saying. This is 18 points guaranteed.

Que?

We will win all home games agains these teams, that's 9 points right there.

Will guaranteed beat Bate away = 12 points

Lets say one of Roma or Bayer surprise is and manage a draw against us; dude we are going to top this group rather easily.
Last few seasons we have had one legit team in our group that could beat us once and maybe even get a draw in the other game, so we had to make sure we won the other games. This time around we are the clear best team and not one other team in the group is terrifying. Roma will probably give us the most trouble and we already blasted them earlier in the month so we already showed the the fear of playing us at the Nou.

I am usually super negative about everything but this group we are going to top.

Fairly easy i will say.

I want to finish it in first four fixtures so that the key players get some rest.

I agree.

Its a fine draw to qualify, no doubt we will qualify in first place here unless we have a total meltdown. Some off pitch, behind the scenes upheaval is the only way we mess this up.

But I always like some interesting games to look forward to and I aint seeing any here. Roma away if we are lucky will test the guys alot, they are too be respected. But this group isnt very interesting.

Roma is weak right now. Bayer away could be a challenge with there intense pressing.

Yeah but they have quality players and a quality coach, you expect they will return to normality when we actually play them.

I didn't want a tricky group anyways.

The Leverkusen games will be interesting. They play the most intense footy in Europe, and they're at their best against teams who build from the back. It'll be a fun game to watch.

Shame we dont build from the back any more then Laughing

But seriously, you could be right but at the same time, now we have Suarez I expect alot of direct balls from Mascherano and less so Pique. Effective but not exciting.

I'm just sad we didn't draw other teams, better or worse. We've played all of Bayer, Roma and BATE in recent times

That was the match two Neverkusen players fought over Messi's shirt, wasn't it?

Good times.

So we DRAW one of the most unpredictable team in competition. Though it shouldn't be much of a trouble for us but also teams like Arsenal shouldn't be wrote off either. I personally wouldn't have minded Chelski or city though.

Yea, Arsenal are very hot and cold sometimes. Hard to count them out, even though we obviously should have the edge.

Messi has been a war lord vs Arsenal in past years, but he's also scored 0 goals vs Cech.

I wanted Manchester United (before they went out in comical fashion Laughing) or Arsenal so I'm happy. It's not an easy opponent which would've made it boring (PSV) and it's not PSG again or a repeat of the CL final (Juventus) which is great. Arsenal will provide a good competitive game, their turf is of high quality and the English media will provide some nice hype for our players if they perform as expected similar to the wankfest that Messi received last season against City for playing like he always does. Laughing

I'm not very concerned. An Arsenal fan could probably let us know (RG where you at bro) but I think Cazorla and Coquelin will both be out, who have been their center midfield pairing. Up front they have Giroud who is not really a threat, and Alexis has been overplayed and has not been hot at all this season.

Ozil is worrying but beyond him I'm not really too concerned. I also can't see Arsenal's defense handling MSN too well.

They've not even been great in an incredibly weak EPL and are lucky to be at this stage in the CL anyway. We also know they aren't going to park the bus and counter, so I see this as a pretty favorable draw. I prefer it to Zenit even, simply because going to Russia and playing a team who hasn't been at this stage often and is likely to PTB and counter would be a lot more taxing and difficult.

Very good analysis, but I wouldn't be over optimistic. With complacency everyone can beat us.
