Based on what? Because he has more highlight reel saves?

Agree with the Man Utd fans on this one, De Gea is better than Courtois.

They've been playing in the same league for three years and its clear to see. Season Man Utd got 4th under LVG, jeez if it wasn't for De Gea they would have been like 7th.

He's better at literally everything. Only area Courtois has a case in is command of his box and De Gea has improved so much in that area it doesn't matter, Courtois is disgustingly overrated anyway.

Lloris is better than Courtois.

if we lose De Gea Lloris would be my number 1 replacement tbh, then once 3-4 years have passed DonnaRumma will have become good enough for a top team hopefully

Agreed. Courtois is shamefully overrated and vastly inferior to De Gea. Not even worthy of mentioning in the same sentence with Real Madrid, let alone their starting XI. Let's spread the word far and wide, through to the ivory towers of the Bernabeu, all the way into the ear of Florentino P. himself Proud

Will Man utd be a top team in next 3-4 years though, that's also a imp consideration.

to be honest i'm not sure we can get either of them....flo has been relatively quiet in the market for like 3 straight years. its not like before when you had the feeling he could sign anyone he wants

Diego Costa wrote:"Courtois is a great goalkeeper and Madrid always want great goalkeepers. He is happy here, but you do not know about the future. [But] Madrid can [fun] off if they want to take Courtois and Hazard. Hazard is a world-class player, so it is normal that everyone have their sights set on him."

Courtois wrote:"No. Right now I am enjoying the achievements we have reached here and I am focused on them. I speak English since I was ten."

"I am really enjoying my time here [at Chelsea] and I am focused on finishing the Premier League and winning the competition."

Sounds to me like Courtois is happy at Chelsea.

Cannot see Courtois leaving Chelsea as he has given very little indication of his unrest there along with beaming in the new charged environment by Conte. Just doesn't make sense.

De Gea may be happy yet has given far more indications on his return to the homeland along with desire for Real Madrid and clearly is homesick like all us Spaniards get. Plus Manchester a terrible city.

Between the two my money is on Dea Gea.

As a rule of thumb, whenever a player says "I'm focusing on..." it means he is likely about to make a move.
Because the notion of 'focus' implies distractions, or other things he could be focused on than playing for his club and his current competition, in this case Chelsea and the PL.
He basically implicitly confirms that there are deals being worked on.

What are the top goalkeeping talent around the different leagues? we'll be looking for one real soon too.

Donnarumma, Oblak, Curtois, De Gea, who else?

Perin was great in Italy but got destroyed by injuries so idk anymore.

if we sign De Gea it will remind me of Bayern signing Neuer, a gk ripe in his prime from a mid level club. Although at that time Schalke was in CL

"Yes, of course I have my eye on a move away which has nothing to do with how I feel about the club I'm at right now and everything to do with going as high and far in my career as possible. Of course I'll be more than happy to piss all over the fans of my current club and make myself look like a right douche by admitting I'd like to move to even bigger and better things to advance my career and fulfill my full potential. And I'm totally going to do so, publicly, while in the middle of a tense battle for 2 major trophies and while I still have several months minimum left to play in front of my present team's fans". Said no player ever.

Either would jump at the chance to move to Real Madrid. Let's not kid ourselves.

De Gea is contracted until like 2020 m8 and no chance we sell him unless you pay something absurd like 70m+ Varane

I don't think it's impossible but Woodward will not deal with you guys now unless it seems like we are coming out on top of the deal

Chelsea are under no obligation to sell Courtois either

more likely Madrid end up with some scrubby Spanish keeper like Asenjo tbh

You already agreed to sell the guy to Real once ffs, you just couldn't get the paperwork done. De Gea had already agreed lmao.
Anyone claiming De Gea would not go to Real or Utd would not sell him is disproven by PAST REALITY ITSELF

As for the contract, yeah he signed a new contract right after you messed the transfer up and van Gaal had benched him... sounds more like Mendes making you pay up for ruining his life than some unbreakable bond tbh

we sabotaged selling him and were always reluctant to do so, now he's tied down to a 3 year contract. No chance he leaves unless it's for a ridiculous offer, since he's the best GK in the world. I'd be fine selling him for like 70m + a player.

I don't think Madrid will get either of them

I know Navas has his critics but honestly he is still very fantastic. He isn't as good as his last year's form, but that's what happens in futbol

I got to hand it to United, they have made Madrid look like a bunch wimps in the transfer window in the last couple of years.

They took out their dick and dick slapped Mehdrid across the face when they came for their superstar De Gea. Then, just for fun they took one of their best players and CL hero Di Maria from them. And finally they flexed their way to Pogba beating out the frauds again.

I haven't seen this sort of manhandling of Madrid or Barca in the transfer window.

I wouldn't call Barca a superpower in transfermarket though. We just somehow get conned to pay inexplicable amounts of money for random scrubs that creates an delusion that we got money power lol.
