All this is a prelude to a goalless draw against Watford on Saturday.

... and the post-break injuries we' will have to reckon with, by fielding our youth and reserves against Munich. Yay.

So, here we go again. The final international break of 2015 is coming up right after this weekend's round of fixtures.

Gibbs has been called up for England, and Chambers and Akpom will play for the U21s.

Koscielny and Giroud have been called up for France and I imagine Cazorla will be called up for Spain. There's extra interest this time round as England play both Spain and France.

In more encouraging news, Kicker are reporting that Ozil will be rested for Germany. We'll see if this is the case when their squad is announced. The same probably won't be said for Alexis, who must play every minute of every Chile game.

Cech, Campbell and possibly Iwobi will likely be on duty, too.

Let's get our hopes and prayers in early. We've been fortunate with international breaks so far; long may it continue.

Ozil left out of Germany's squad, so he'll get a nice rest.

Gabriel called up for Brazil.

Alexis apparently looked very tired playing for Chile last night.

Surprise surprise.

At some point, Alexis should have some common sense himself to realize that he has to take a break and tell at least one of his managers to rest him. This is as much his fault as the managers - they will obviously look to play him because he is so important to his teams.

The day isn't far when he is so drained that he would be more of a liability that the other 10 players have to carry.

Alexis should be rested when he comes back. Wenger must take charge even if Sanchez wants to play next weekend.

We might aswell "rest" Alexis so long as Giroud starts up front.

These two have no understanding whatsoever.

Would've been nice to have him fit right now.

Just update the title and use the same thread?

-----------

"of course the international break comes too soon. We have players going away with their national teams who aren’t ready to play for us because they have been away with their national teams!"

Have to agree with the old man here. The situation slightly peeves me off. WTF is an international break 3 weeks into a season after Euros ffs.

Thierry Henry named Roberto Martinez's assistant manager with the Belgian national team. The road back to Arsenal begins.

Holding and Chambers called up to the England U21 side.

England squad will be announced tomorrow. Expecting Wilshere and Ox to get in. Not sure about Walcott.

Bellerin not in the Spain squad. Koscielny and Giroud called up for France, Mustafi and Ozil for Germany.

Walcott needs to be there ahead of Oxlade and Wilshere.

Strange for Bellerin to not be in it after going to the Euros. But i suppose a break is nice for him.

Giroud needs match practise so glad he got called up. Same with Ozil.

Yeah, Walcott back on the right can be a force for club and country. Glad he's finally realized that again.

Walcott called up for England but not Wilshere or Chamberlain.

Can't say I expected that.

Italy vs France tonight for those wanting to catch Koscielny and Giroud. Pretty much a pre-season friendly for Giroud.

Norway vs Germany and Slovakia vs England both on Sunday.

Akpom and Bellerin called up to their respective U21 squads.
