Enrique's coaching and tactics are limited. His whole plan is pass to Messi and pray something happens. There is no attacking structure. Messi can't do it all. Also very few off the ball runs and everyone getting ball to feet.

Ouch Laughing

Not too upset about the result, this is probably the hardest match in the entire group stages and the rest is easily accessible. Thought the people hoping for a 5-0 would be in for a surprise (in the group thread there was a lot of disrespect towards Roma as well so I think that's the majority view here).

Couldn't watch. Hope rafinha is not as serious as it looked. Ok result, but it seems we deserved to win.

Our depth is atrocious. Transfer ban didn't affect us last season because we were still able to sign in the summer, but this season it's really, really hurting us. A few injuries here and there and we are having to move players out of position, it's insane.

With Adriano, Alves, Rafinha out things are really thin. Our front line is thin as it is (when Neymar was out we had to play Rafinha as a forward which he isn't). Surely it's time we start giving the kids a shot, we don't really have a choice.

That said the sooner Alves returns and things will be better, cause Sergi will be back to playing midfield and our depth will be allot stronger.

Btw, Real Madrid's squad looks allot better built for years to come compared to ours, we need a serious re-haul and we need to stop with the buying "vets", it will get us nowhere in the long run and we will just have to spend more money more frequently.

Right back Dani Alves, who is recovering from a thigh muscle injury, could be available for the game against Celta next Wednesday. [cope]

think you guys are being abit mellow dramatic.
next three games.
levante, celta, las palmas.

we'll live with using mascherano as dm with buscuit as backup to the two centermids..
we still have B players.. it's not like were playing against the hardest teams lol
is it ideal? no will we be fine? yes.
should one of msn get injured we should still be fine.. we're spoiled with the fact that we have three superstars upfront.. there was a time when we played with messi pedro sanchez..

take out a messi / neymar or suarez and we should be fine.. even with munir or sandro.
enrique is used to doing rotations anyways it's just a bit of unluckiness

our hardest matches for the next month and half are really sevilla away, celta away..

What about Verms injury? How long is he out?

Currently our squad

Goal Keepers
Marc-André ter Stegen
Claudio Bravo
Jordi Masip
Defenders
Daniel Alves
Gerard Piqué
Javier Mascherano
Jordi Alba
Jérémy Mathieu
Marc Bartra
Adriano
Thomas Vermaelen
Douglas
Sergi Roberto
Midfield
Andrés Iniesta
Sergio Busquets
Ivan Rakitić
Rafinha
Forwards
Lionel Messi
Luis Suárez
Neymar
Munir
Sandro

I don't think that's being melodramatic considering the team hasn't looked great since pre-season and is struggling to score and defend. Removing key players and adding guys that are playing the third division isn't gonna help us if we continue to have injuries. That said, some of those guys will be back sooner than later so not time to hit the panic button yet.

Just saying we can't afford any more injuries.

I had decided before the season had even begun that I won't have any expectations for this season apart from the Copa del Rey so this is kind of "meh" for me. Any major trophy is a bonus. And pls don't get trashed in the CL. Not asking for more.

The midfield is not as much of a problem if Enrique can be a bit more creative. I would try Alves as a right midfielder instead of Rakitic. I think he can easily play the role. Roberto as RB and Alves as RCM. Rakitic has been garbage this season missing passes left, right and center.
Plus we have Samper who is definitely good enough.

Why should he try Alves when Rakitic is our best midfielder? Apparently he hasn't been very good "this" season, but "this" season, is 5 games so far.

When Alves is back we'll have Roberto and Mascherano as covers, good enough until december.

It's blessing in disguise we being stretched imo. Every time we want to win 30-0 regardless if how gud the opposition is. This might keep our feets on ground

I meant as a part of rotation.Playing Rakitic,Iniesta every game will just lead to burnout and injury. Play Alves once in a while in midfield instead of Iniesta/Rakitic. Alves is more than capable to play in midfield. Roberto isnt but he is semi decent at RB.
We have a very busy season ahead.Playing injury prone Iniesta and Rakitic every game is just recipe for disaster.

FORM GUIDE

Barcelona: WDWWWW

Roma: WWLWWD

LAST MEETING

AS Roma 1-1 FC Barcelona - 16th September 2015 - UEFA Champions League

A bittersweet game for the Blaugrana. Luis Suárez scored the opening goal on a dominant Barça performance, but an unbelievable goal from Florenzi and a season-ending injury for Rafinha turned the night into a bad one.

LIKELY LINEUPS

Barcelona (4-3-3): Stegen; Alves, Piqué, Mathieu, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta, Messi, Suárez, Neymar

Roma (4-3-3): Szczesny; Maicon, Manolas, Rüdiger, Digne; Keita, Nainggolan, Pjanic; Florenzi, Dzeko, Falqué
