@linetty. Very insightful post. We played great infact, don't understand why some people like hans, hala etc spew bullshit like we're just hopeless without messi which is infact very far from the truth, like we havn't lost to worse teams with messi in it. The confusion i have in my mind is that by the time the team starts goating and all our superstars starts firing left and right, messi will have returned and revert things to the messi-barcelona again (i can bet on this one). These things take time tbh and once we get over it, we'll be on a roll.. Against sevilla, Neymar, rakitic and barcelona had their best game this season imo.. Just need to work on our finishing..
On a side note, does lucho not see the things we see that are so obvious e.g our mid?

Let's give chance to youngsters ffs. Who knows someone lyk Samper will be a big revealation and we wouldn't have to spend fortune on someone else. Besides what can possibly go wrong than this. Let's introduce some fresh air in team.

I don't think Barca played okay but just lacked that bit of luck. A depleted Sevilla team with 1 day less rest had 6 vs. 1 corners in the first 40 minutes and a bunch of freekicks near Barca's box. A couple of individual action like Neymar's freekick and Suarez' lob which hit the woodwork doesn't make Barca unlucky in the overall scheme of things. Team is playing like shit tbh. This is the same Sevilla that managed 1 measly shot (not on target but OVERALL 1 shot) against Juventus a couple days ago. A really great team would score double digits right now against Barca.

Also Suarez proving again that he's not a clinical finisher at all. Some of the chances he botched were awful. The Neymar pass to him where he must take it first time and the airshot from Rakitic's pass 2 great botched chances that stand out.

@Bankz- Exactly my feelings. I will go even further and say we actually played our best game so far this season last night and Messi was nowhere to be seen!!

We've had like 3 or 4 posts and Rico jumped like a cat to make all those heroic saves.... Luck more than anything

@Pirloisjesus- I know, right? We've been asking for that for the past season and the few months into this season. But Enrique is blind on this matter... Camera turns on the bench and catches Gumbau and Camara. I shed a tear!!! I'm really fed up with this Samper omitting....sigh

We barely ever use all 3 subs in a game because there's nobody who could come in and improve the team!!! We should all go on his twitter and spam his messages with Samper comments ffs

Defensively we weren't good in the first half and that has always been the case this season. But we completely dominated them in the second

And I agree Suarez can be really annoying... chokes in really easy situations way too often

Maybe this is true, I don't know. I turned off the TV after the second goal. I'm a bit busy these days to get annoyed at Barca games and usually turn my attention to other things when the game is done for me. Molenation

Sergio Busquet post game
It's clear that there are things to work on and we once again let three points go. We are creating chances, but we're out of luck and accuracy. We have to do everything we can to change this situation. "The schedule has been difficult, but it is what it is. We haven't been lucky with injuries and we aren't allowed to register any new players. But we can't use those things as excuses and we have to work in order to achieve the best possible results. "We've won everything last season, and it's true that it is very hard to repeat as champions and other teams get better. But I don't think about that, I want to improve with my team and win every game." wrote:

You guys should get an eye check. We didn't play great at all for 60 minutes. After 2-0, we played very well and probably deserved to tie. but the other 60 minutes were really bad.

I think some people need to differentiate between being able to win had luck been different and playing well. You can win and still play badly, and we played terrible football.

Rakitic played well and produced most of our chances.
We created lots of chances, but after losing 2-0 mostly.
Neymar was invisible until the 2-0, then he turned into a great player all of a sudden.

Btw Barrilete, props for mentioning Correa, he really seems to be a great player.

but it wsnt the same sevilla was it. They had key players absent, were tired, and could make only single shot against juve. They were riding last season while this season they are in poor form. Also I know u play gud yet u lose someday but its not rule its an exception. We kinda have developed knack of it. As far absence of Iniesta and messi. I think we ought to learn live without iniesta nowadays . his role in team is going to be less and less in future. One major factor behind all poor form is we have won everything last year so players probably not desperate too go the extra mile. Let's accept it we are saturated hence we want new blood in our team to push these guys.

Thank god we have only 1 point to the top, rather easy schedule until Messi comes back, and Neymar and Suarez being banned from international football. All is not lost yet, grueling start of the season could be motivation that treble winning team needs.

Although atm we can still lose probably any game with bad luck/ referees.

If Vermaelen stays healthy I think he will be the number 1 defender this season. Motivation is the key, he showed it in start of the season.

he will definitely be an upgrade to masch/mathieu but he still needs to adapt to our style of play.
seemed hesitant to make actual passes rather he boots it away (kind of like mathieu did in his first couple games) but his aerial prescene in corners (Defending or attacking) will be refreshing to see.

just gotta hope he doesn't get injured again..

Proved us wrong how? By turning him into a right back in an injury crisis?

That's not what you were asking for though. You wanted him to be used more often as a sub for Iniesta, and when he was finally used consistently the world realized he wasn't very good.

What? I am totally lost.

Rubbish performance. Winning that game would have been unjust in my opinion.

I got my hopes up we could come back, but I should have known it was false hope. We didnt score a real goal, only a non-resistant penalty.

Playing bad football, not getting results and struggling to keep the opponent from clear chances.

According to whoscored.com following are Barca weaknesses
1.Avoiding individual errors - weak
2.defending against wing attack- weak
3. Defend against through ball- weak
4. Stopping opponent creating chance- very weak
5. Defending counterattacks- very weak

None of above weaknesses are due to messi iniesta absence I suppose hmm . again I say that even if we are missing our main two players we still got much quality to win against not so inform sevilla. Also the relegating material lyk Las Palma's gave us hard time at our home. So the problem according to me is not in front or middle but in back. Also amount of goals conceded compared to last season show weakness in defence. Now question is even if messi was playing would that have made difference in our defence? Are we blaming messi absence and overlooking other potholes in our team?
