Is Eriksen the greatest FK taker in the world?

I struggle to think of anyone that consistently scores as many as Erisken, and to add to that Eriksen's are usually clutch, often while the team is down or in the last stages of the game to earn some points.

Would be interested to see a stat-off of free kicks taken/scored vs Calhanoglu

Yeah it does because the weaker the team the smaller the pressure and thus making the free kick more difficult.

Which is why you see a lot of players in weak leagues scoring a lot, take Depay for example pretty sure he had like 10 last year and he's not even come close to getting one yet.

Besides where was these unstoppable free kicks outside of that and today? his record is no better than a lot of peoples.

Certainly not the best in the world lol, but BC has a habit of overrating Tottenham players

James, Ozil, Bale, I think I heard Willian was 4/4 this year so far. Just off the top of my head, and I am sure there are more.

But I do think Eriksen is a fantastic free kick taker. Excellent technique

BTW the best in the world is that kid from Leverkusen and it's not close.

He is the real Sneijder's heir and you can notice it also from this thing.

Also your no pressure argument falls apart when you consider most of them are when his team are down

we need stats. How many taken, how many scored, of various takers over a couple of years

Well, you can talk about who it's against, and I agree that to some extent it does matter, but that's exactly where your argument works against you as far as the EPL is concerned. Eriksen isn't doing this in any weak league, unless you think the EPL is a weak league.

I do say as far as the EPL is concerned because obviously being the best in the EPL (and he is the best in the EPL) doesn't make you the best in the world, but I do think you'll find his record is better than most and when you watch him simply with the eye test as well, his free kicks aren't Ronaldo-esque into the wall or into the stands, they get on target very often and cause a lot of trouble even if they don't go in. I don't know much about that Leverkusen kid and I don't know much about Serie A so I'm not going to claim he's the best in the world, but I do think he's the best in the EPL (stats back that up) and I think that makes him among the best in the world. He's been doing this consistently since his arrival as well.

i keep hearing Mata is supposedly good at them but i've yet to witness him score one live .
