Re: Messi case ongoing
Isn't it the same in all countries? When you sign your tax declaration submission, you are responsible regardless if the accountant has manipulated the figures. In this case, the father is the accountant and certainly he should be penalized for this, but also the individual who submitted a false tax declaration is also accountable for that. He would likely get a much reduced sentence, but there should be no doubt about this whether he is a celebrity or not. Interesting that Barca have their president, ex president and their two star players all in legal trouble. Messi looks like he is getting away with this, but to say he is innocent is a stretch. More likely it is just not enough evidence to get him sentenced.

Re: Messi case ongoing
Spain is corrupt and nationalistic, it's common place that foreigners get haunted, even more common when it's enemy of the Real Madrid number one. Meanwhile nobody investigates Perez, Real Refdrids nor FIFA connection considering 2013 Ballon d'Or and how much it cost to Perez. In practice Franco is still alive.

Pretty blanket statement. No where is the corruption more evident than with the Catalan politicians!!!
Are you saying that Messi submitting a false tax declaration is a a case of corruption, a foreigner being haunted?

Re: Messi case ongoing
Tax office already did settle the charges, like they do with every Spanish person. Last year prosecutor already asked judge to drop the case against Messi with no evidence, but he didn't. Now year after he does the same again, when there's no evidence of Messi knowing abou ti. So he dragged the trial one year on, because Messi is foreign and doesn't represent Real Refdrid and is enemy of them.futbol_bill wrote:Harmonica wrote:Spain is corrupt and nationalistic, it's common place that foreigners get haunted, even more common when it's enemy of the Real Madrid number one. Neymar is on the investigation, Mascherano is on the investigation. Meanwhile no Real Refdrid players are under investigation. Do you honestly think Messi, or Neymar were in this situation if they played in Real Madrid? All logical points in the direction of corrupted system, nationalistic system, Franco system.
And I don't care about Catalonia or Spain, I say this as concerned citizen of on the most uncorrupted nations.

Re: Messi case ongoing
classical Harmonica logic .
a bunch of Barça players are in trouble .
no Madrid player is in trouble .
therefore , the only logical conclusion is that a conspiracy against Barcelona spearheaded by Refdrid is taking place .

ffs
The word logic should be renamed to "Harmonica" tbh.
"Yo mate, I brushed ma teeth and then ate ice cream and drank a can of coke."
"Bruh, where's your Harmonica? First you eat and drink, then you brush your teeth, not the other way round. Think Harmonical for a second."

You do realize that Mascherano and Neymar are under investigation for tax fraud in Argentina and Brasil, not Spain!!

Did you know that Messi is the best passive defender in the game?

Like we didn't know, no celebrity would ever go to jail for this kind of things or more serious one at least not Messi kind of celebrity.
Now let us try now to pay taxes and see what happens

Nope it isn't. The right context would be if Messi had been convicted (damaged) to farfan's enjoyment.
You going to tell me how to speak German now?
Reminds me of a time when the poster Cyberman was lecturing about what was more famous between Rugby and Football in France to two Frenchmen in Farfan and Sport with at least one of them living in the country.

So Franco pays a visit to Barça and all of a sudden he's friends with us.

Re: Messi case ongoing
Lmao literally one day after Spanish corruption and nationalism has been confirmed even more than it already was. And my knowledge of things and logic reign supreme as ever.
If you're Real Madrid player (Casillas) you won't stand trial, if you're national hero (Nadal) you won't stand trial. If you play in Calatan team or are foreign, you stand trial.
And all this is news third time a row before Ballon d'Or vote.
Too bad even that wont be enough this time.

Re: Messi case ongoing
lol, so just because it is a barca foreign player, that is quilty of submitting a fraudulent tax statement, the country is corrupt. Harmonica your conspiracy theories are a joke.
As I said before, one is responsible for signing a fraudulent tax statement regardless if the accountant (his father) is the culprit. I doubt however, if Messi will get jail time, rather a fine, but his father will not be as fortunate.

What Harmonica does not understand is the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion.

Re: Messi case ongoing
Leo's father was supposed to be present at the court since the prosecutioner already cleared Leo's name. But State attorney has asked for trial and judge approved it. Judge also rejected the request of prosecutors to drop the charges against Leo. State Attorney is Marta Silva. Former Real Madrid Director and also close associate of Florentino Perez.
You couldn't make this up, it's like straight out film.
