btw I seem to have entered a miniscule inaccuracy in the stats in my opening post.
Wenger's CL record with Arsenal against Bayern isn't 2W, 4D, 2L, it's 2W, 2D, 4L. Still very symmetrical, no threes or anything uneven and ugly involved.

Wasn't last time like 20 games, and we won 2-0? Shocked

Exactly. Though I guess those 20 were unbeaten, not wins.

The team is unchanged from the Watford game.

Bayern:

Neuer; Lahm, Boateng, Alaba, Bernat; Alonso, Vidal, Thiago; Muller, Lewandowski, Costa

in whatever formation.

Typical Arsenal. They play better. They create clear-cut chances. They run circles around Bayern. They entertain the crowd with breathtakingly beautiful football. And then what they do? They end the first half 0-0.

If this game is like any of its predecessors, Arsenal are going to lose their spark in the second half, allowing Bayern to win undeservedly, however understandably.

Disagree, I thought Bayern did what they do best. They had over 65% possession even. Cech has probably made more save too, though Neuer pulled the bigger one(s).

Btw, before someone comes along trying to troll - even casual observers would agree that there is a significant difference in between respecting the opposition and being pragmatic and going anti-football to park vehicles of choice.

Possession doesn't mean anything. They got mauled by Madrid 5-0 even though they had more possession.

Arsenal played better even though they are the underdogs. I expected Arsenal to concede at least 4 goals in the first half, but I ended up cheering for them because they were simply the better team on the pitch in the first half.

We don't need to win, though.

Have to say I'm torn about Pep's CL away games tikinaccio tendency though. There's a fine line between dominant control and self-medication, and when Arsenal switched gears in the first half we couldn't switch back as we'd slowed down too much.
