was alright but didn't really grip me either

tho dat MILF that I've seen in a bunch of stuff lawd Proud

not really a big fan of the family drama aspect, I know it's supposed to be a show about the fall of civilization so I expect it to be gradual but I hope it doesn't focus on that kid's drug addictions too much

Just watched the first episode, I thought it was pretty good. Nicely paced, you got the feeling of the thing slowly starting to unravel. I thought at least for the first episode they were successful at showing how it begins. We'll see how it works in the following episodes, but I liked the start.

I liked it.

I have a feeling this will focus a bit more on the virus than just survival, an I've been hoping for this to happen in TWD but they completely ignored that part of it for now.

I don't know how it could focus on the virus, unless you mean this could be about finding a cure. But there's virtually nothing you can "tell" about the virus, it is what it is.

Well they can give some sort of explanation as to how the outbreak happened. Patient Zero etc.

Mm, I just don't see that happening in the beginning of the thing when everything will turn to chaos - and this is about the beginning. It would be cool if they gave it an explanation somewhere down the line, either in this show or the original. Like, some mad scientist cult (or something more feasible) that developed the virus and released it into the atmosphere. (It would have to be in the atmosphere since everyone's got it, right?) I do hope at some point in either one of these shows they'd play the "finding the origin and trying to discover a cure" card. It's too good a subject not to use it, imo.

I certainly agree with this part. I understand why they don't use it in the original since it has been so long since the world has been zombified, they barely even remember life before it. But this show, hopefully does lead us down that path.

In the original in season 1 they did search for a cure and went to CDC but Dr. Jenner has no answers for them other than suicide. But since then it's been all about survival. But if something like this really did happen, you would think more people would be looking for a cure.

Like, other people who are looking for a cure and Rick's group join up with them or maybe a rumor that "this and that place could provide some answers" and they take it as their mission to get there and see if there's anything to it.

I thought the premise is promising. Slow build up, but that's expected for a pilot episode.

Kept me intrigued and wanting to tune in next week to see what happens next.

Nothing ever happens, and I can't see this one being much different. Will keep checking here to see what y'all say though.

Watched the second episode, didn't feel like quite enough happened in it, but on the other hand the scene is set for a good third episode now.

But considering there are only 6 episodes in the first series, I can't help thinking they won't have time to show enough cool / walkers / survival stuff in the remaining 4 episodes.
