Aubameyang apprection thread

Post by sportsczy on Thu Oct 29, 2015 5:08 pm

he has a total of 17 goals in 13 games
-  13 in bundi (tied with Lewa)
-  3 in Europa
-  1 in Cup

It's on only 55 shots total.  Very good efficiency.

Has 4 assists too.

He's carrying Dortmund so far.  So is Bale better?  Was the comparison i made last summer so ridiculous now??

We need a bundesliga-equivalent-goal-measure. Someone look up players from the bunedsliga that went on to the best league in the world (EPL, obvs) and see how their scoring and assisted record changed.

I remember Sports saying how bad Bundesliga teams are at defending yet Aubameyang is teh GOAT for feasting on poor defenses.

The 2nd part. Apparently he is doing well and I think GL can appreciate that much. Though all leagues suck so our appreciation isn't well grounded.

According to Moal the only true barometer of greatness is CL semis and Cl final. So we won't be able to tell until such time that he plays there.

He's truly awesome.

Like Lewandowski I expect him to become a lot more clinical in the next couple of years.

Another double....

he has 17 goals in 14 games and top scorer in Bundi... also has 5 goals in 4 games in Europa and cup.

22 goals and 4 assists in 18 games.

The new Madrid striker come January. He hasn't played in CL so he's eligible.

lol Same Dortmund who let Lewandowski's contract run out are surely going to let their top scorer leave in the middle of the season while he has a contract 'til 2020. Laughing

They didn't want him to go to Munich they offerred him Madrid several times but he had an agreement with Munich so he wasn't on board, it's not like they choose to lose money, plus there's a new manager now, i think they will sell him if the right offer come their way.

They chose to lose money. It was clear he wanted to go to Munich and it was clear he wasn't going to renew. So they could have sold him to Munich with 1 year remaining on his contract. Instead they let his contract run out, just out of principle.

"If the right offer come their way". Yeah, sure. If someone is going to pay € 100M for Auba he might go. Laughing

Yep. Sure they'll buy him the plane ticket to Madrid themselves, and all they're asking is an autograph of Sergio Ramos.

There's a reason January signings between clubs who are actually trying to win things rarely ever happen lol.

I do think they'll sell him in the summer but not before.

Except Lewa wasn't sold because there was a quasi riot when they sold Goetze to their biggest rivals in Bayern... PR nightmare. They would have sold Lewa to any other club and they even tried to encourage him to go to Madrid. But he wanted to go to Bayern at all cost.
