Messi injury update:
Reports from Catalonia this week have suggested Messi has a good chance of playing at Real Madrid on Nov. 21, with the 28-year-old apparently running freely and working with the ball in training. This is reported to have followed the successful completion of an individual programme overseen by Argentina physiotherapists Luis Garcia and Marcelo d'Andrea last week. AS has claimed that Barca's current plan is for Messi to start the game at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on the bench -- as he did when impressing in a 30-minute cameo and scoring the winner in September's2-1 victoryat Atletico Madrid wrote:

If I were barca, ill not play him that game, nno matter how fit he is tbh.. I'd rather loose one game and be equal on points than loose messi for the a longer time in the season.. What's the worse cae scenario? That we loose? I'd rather have that.

He's already running and playing with the ball. If he feels 100% fine then I don't see any contradictions tbh. Even if he won't go into challenges with other players he would still be much more productive then Munir/Sandro/Masch in midfield or whatever

Besides from what I know (little) losing clasico has political implications as well. Especially now on background of Catalan independence demand so Lucho wouldn't be treating it as just another match. I think he would try everything at his dispose to try and win it. Playing Messi being one of them.

El Clasico is never treated as a regular match no matter what is goin on the political background. Both by the players and coaches (heard even Ramos will play on painkillers). Therefore I hugely doubt Messi will sit this one out especially that his recovery is going as planned

That's exactly what I meant. Lucho wouldn't be thinking we got 3 points cushion so lets not worry and grind out a draw.

After the attacks in Paris, next weekend's clasico in Madrid will be declared a high-risk game. More safety measures around stadium. [as]

is there any risk in Spain? hmm Well, I guess you never know these days, they're neighbours with France afterall

Xavi on CLASICO
"Based on their most recent league performances, Barcelona look the stronger of the two teams going into the game, but you never know what might happen during a Clasico,". hmm

Karim Benzema is going to be very busy on November 21. Not only is that the day Real Madrid play Barcelona in the first El Clasico of the season, it’s also the date of his latest speeding trial. The France striker, who does not hold a driving license, was stopped by Municipal Police on Thursday evening. wrote:

Messi passed the test in today's training match and will play against Madrid on Sunday. Rakitic expected to start on the bench. [md]

I got very bad feeling about James. Guy can pull out anything outta nothing. Sure he has just came out of injury but for me he is the biggest threat.

Colombia are beating Argentina. Not figuratively literally as in beating with flying kicks and spin kicks and Tombstone piledrivers. Thank good Messi not fit to play this Wrestling match.
