It will be glorious when Leo wins his Oscar Proud I think even Stephen Hawkings will get from his wheelchair to applaud.

Lot of sources are saying different things, most of them are saying she's playing the 'female lead'. But most of them are mentioning Tirana, who has a very minor role in the books, and doesn't even appear in the first book scratch

If she is playing the female lead (Susannah) then it seems the pragmatic thing to do, what with the whole race dynamic between her and Roland (You have to remember than in the books, Roland was white and Susannah was black). So, it does right some things with that relationship which is nice.

Anyways, i haven't seen much of her to form an opinion, she seems decent enough in Mad Max. Guess, we'll have to see.

She's in Winding Refn's new movie, so we'll see her then. The Danish directors love her.

Also Gods of Egypt.

It's awful. He didn't even laugh during the Jump Street films. Never watching comedies with him again.

Almost all movies are foreign to us hmm

Does your dad only watch from his own country? Laughing

My dad loves Steven Seagal, Arnold and Bruce Lee. I basically grew up on that shit. Watched so many R-rated movies from age 6-7 and up.

He only watched arabic movies Laughing

80% of arabic movies are slapstick comedies (3 stooges) Laughing

The only foreign film my dad acknowledges is James Bond, because he read the arabic translated books as a kid.

Oh god. I'm glad my dad doesn't care for Iranian cinema to that degree. Or atleast he don't know how get access to it Laughing

Slapstick seems like the only kind of comedy you can do without getting sexual references or an r-rating these days. Still waiting for that Arabic Wolf of Wall Street cut though.

My father's favorite actor is De Nio, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Robert Redford hmm

I inherited the love for movies from him. He does not watch modern movies much nowadays but tries to keep on top of most Oscar winners or critically acclaimed films.

Christopher Nolan using real WWII battleships for Dunkirk because he refuses to use CGI

Christopher Nolan has never shied away from shunning CGI in favour of on-set locations and real-world environments - and his upcoming WWII film Dunkirk shall be no different.

For the film, which will tell a fictional story that occurred during Operation Dynamo - the British evacuation from the French harbour - for the battle sequences, the filmmaker will be using a real-life naval destroyer - in particular, the French T-47 Class Destroyer, Maillé-Brézé.

French nautical magazine Presse Océan reports that the ship will be towed to Saint-Nazaire, Brittany where it will be transformed into a working vessel ready for production in May.

Whilst it served for over 30 years in the French navy, Maillé-Brézé didn't see any action in Dunkirk.

Nolan is no stranger to going out of his way in an attempt to create real worlds for his ambitious projects; in his 2010 sci-fi Inception, he oversaw the manual creation of a 100-foot corridor for the memorable zero gravity sequence. This structure was suspended along eight concentric rings powered by two massive electric motors.

The news lends credence to the recent plea from The Hateful Eight cinematographer Robert Richardson to create an Oscar category that differentiates between actual photography and VFX.

War drama Dunkirk will be Nolan's first film since Interstellar. It will star Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy and will be released in 2017.

This whole CGI hate is getting ridiculous. Just use what best suits your movie. People really don't care as long as it's good.
