Thohir met with Mayor of Milan Giuliano Pisapia to propose building a new stadium in the Rho area, leaving San Siro to Milan.

“It was a more than cordial meeting, even a friendly one, in which there was an exchange of opinions on sport in Milan and the future development of the city,” explained Mayor Pisapia.

“It was the first step in a dialogue that will continue soon. I can say we set out a joint pathway that will allow us to collaborate for the good of Milan and those who chose our city for an important investment.”

finally

Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister Angelino Alfano announced a “revolutionary” new law to transform stadiums.

Clubs in Serie A and B have complained for many years that the current laws make it very difficult for them to construct their own stadiums, as the vast majority must rent from the local council.

“Tomorrow the Government will present an amendment to the stability law that regards sporting structures,” announced Alfano at a Lega Serie A meeting.

“It will be a revolutionary presentation with three main principles: the first is the possibility to build sporting venues even using private capital, the second regards a cut through the bureaucracy that slows down operations, while the third regards the possibility of opening new structures and commercial activities inside these venues.”

Italian clubs generally do not gain much revenue on match day, as they do not own the stadium and therefore cannot rent out property for bars, restaurants or shops. It also means the stadiums are closed for the rest of the week.

Valencia gives it another try: adjusted plans to finish their Nuevo Mestalla. Smaller roof and reduced capacity (61.5k) - 40% cheaper.

Economic vice president Javier Faus revealed at the press conference that a budget of €600 million had been allocated to fund the remodeling endeavor, but made clear that this money has to come from the club's own resources.

Of that €600 million, an estimated €420 million will be allocated for the upgrade's individual cost, while a planned Palau—used for complementary services such as restaurants, new parking facilities and entrances—is set to cost approximately €90 million.

By the way, Bayern München want to expand the Allianz Arena and add 2000 more seats and 2000 more terrace places. Then they'd have a capacity of 75 000 für Bundesliga matches and 70 000 for international matches.

Atletico Madrid's new stadium. It will be completed by 2016 apparently and will hold a capacity of 70,000.This was announced a while back btw.

Changes of venue are natural in the history of a football club. Growth and development force these cyclical changes. The structure of a sports club eventually becomes larger as the social mass increases, the demands of collective grow and competitive requirements are becoming more complex and ambitious. Moreover, cities expand and renew projects adapt to new technologies, urban development and architectural designs, so that the change is necessary if you want to be with the times and not be left behind.

The new stadium is our main project and the culmination of a growing sports club in which we are working and we want to strengthen in the coming years so that the Club can become a reference in the world of football. With the support of the institutions, we want to build a new future for Atletico Madrid and for the city of Madrid, which may have one of the best stadiums in the world.

Club Atletico Madrid aims to create a unique and unmistakable icon to make the Atletico dream and to be a sign of identity for our fans, as well as to be easily recognized by other fans. The new stadium will house everything in the club. It will be an example of innovation and will provide the capital, which will be closely linked, a new architectural symbol. We want this site to become a high-impact attraction for visitors and tourists who come to our city.

The main objective for Club Atlético de Madrid, with the development of these projects is to grow in the sponsorship, economic, social and sports areas. Certainly, from the standpoint of sponsorship and economic area, the club will be strengthened considerably in the future, it will go from having a stadium that is more than forty years old, with a location that limits our capacity for future growth and with a surface of more than 30.000m2 to a modern stadium, equipped with the best infrastructure and services, with an area of 88.150 m2, which will undoubtedly represents a steady pace of consolidation, which will make the club more competitive in all areas.

Furthermore, the new stadium is being created to provide better service and meet the demands of the thousands of fans already related to the club. We need to grow, have a modern and edgy Stadium, more than what we have today, with a capacity of around 70.000. A Stadium equipped with the best infrastructure and technological development, with better access, good transport links, a large number of parking spaces, commercial areas, areas for the disabled, with lounges, private boxes and spaces dedicated to fans with modern and spacious dining areas and marketing. In short, a stadium designed by and for the fans, because we have a professional obligation to work for the comfort and welfare of all.

The Club wants to offer fans a multi-functional Stadium to enjoy every day of the week. The Stadium will provide a for concerts, institutional events, business and advertising as well as large international sporting events: the final of the Champions League and Europa League, World Cup, European Championships, Olympic Games, where Atletico Madrid’s stadium will be a benchmark worldwide.

During the presentation ceremony a video was shown of what the new stadium will be like, a visual representation of all the details of the new home of the rojiblancos.

Is Atleti's debt issues right now in any ways connected to the stadium ?

Plans for a huge extension to the Etihad Stadium are set to get the go-ahead.

Manchester City wants to add an extra 6,250 seats at both ends of the ground, as well as a further 2,000 seats around the pitch, taking the Etihad's capacity from 47,620 to 62,170.

That will mean Manchester will have the Premier League's two biggest grounds.

The preparation of SkySport made the point on the issue stage relative to the 'Expo' in Rho, to be allocated to the construction of a new plant in Milan.

The stadium is one of the priorities of Barbara Berlusconi, with only Milan has shown that concrete interests. The Rossoneri, at this point, it would be ok from getting close to the start of work. Jobs that may begin immediately after the conclusion of the Expo 2015, with the plant expected to reach a capacity of 50-60 thousand seats, assembling of prefabricated parts elsewhere, to reduce the time of delivery.

The agreement should be finalized shortly, with the 'Inter, engaged on other fronts, would leave the' green light 'to Milan.

a long awaited turnaround is just around the corner. Unless sensational back the Della Valle family , through a company created ad hoc , is ready to present the request for participation in the project financing for the construction of the new stadium jewel in Mercafir Novoli . The acceleration was impressed in recent weeks when the engineers of the company Della Valle family and those of the City were confronted again , after several face to face during the end of 2013 and the beginning of this year.
Diego Della Valle first person and the mayor Renzi have followed the progress of the dialogue to give life to a project destined to go down in the history of the company and change violates a slice of the city in a radical way .
The project on which we have worked is that the mayor has presented 32 acres available to those who want to invest to make a stadium with associated accommodation and commercial activities . That means hotels and shops with particular attention to the possible realization of the " street fashion " with brands and designer labels foreground from those of the Della Valle family .
On Tuesday evening, Mayor Renzi and Diego Della Valle cheered , elbow to elbow , Franchi stadium , satisfied and delighted for the landing in the final of the Italian Cup Fiorentina . They spoke before and after the challenge : a bit ' of politics and movements of the last Romans and also in Florence. The chemistry between the mayor and Diego Della Valle is very strong . On many topics. One for all ? Fiat and the ' escape ' of the Turin abroad and the need to give a different approach to the question of work ( jobs act Renzi could mark a turning point ) and red tape that strangles businesses with the tax incredible .
Oora the Della Valle family company that deals with investment Mercafir must formalize the cards in the Palazzo Vecchio, but the handshake of a few weeks ago between Diego Della Valle and Renzi , that is a signature on a document of commitments.
So there we are. Missing only the official formal, but Florence can start thinking about the new stadium, 40 000 covered seats in the Mercafir freed from the traditional activities of the market ( will be placed in another area) , new roads and motorway links and the the city center. And then, shops, hotels and offices : these last volumes engineers have worked hard to polish the final details . Everything is back and this can really start .
The total investment is about 180 million. The operation Mercafir will also bring several thousand jobs directly and indirectly. A treasure too heavy to be amortized with side activities in the new stadium.
The Della Valle family is ready to invest. But it probably will not be alone . Insistent rumors have once again talked about Chinese partners , who have already done business with Mr. Tod's willing to support the family in this project. A project that would fall into a broader operation of internationalization of the brand Fiorentina .
In a few weeks it should start formally the path for the award of the project financing. The process as simple as possible comply with the regulations imposed by the law of the European races . The decision of the company violates serve only to win , explaining the offices of the Palazzo Vecchio , just a sort of pre-emption on the implementation of the project.

Atletico Madrid could announce Etihad Airways as new stadium sponsor this year

According to Euromericas Sports Marketing, Atletico Madrid had three offers on the table, but Etihad Airways proved to be the most lucrative option for the team’s move to the new stadium ahead of the 2015-16 season, but the deal could be announced sometime in 2014.

According to the report, while the only announcement in regards to the stadium has been the agreement with Centerplate ISG for the balconies and the VIP boxes, the deal with Eithad is in the final stages, however, the issue is with the payments.

Atletico Madrid would like 60% of the €155 million (€93 million) to be paid upfront and the remaining 40% to be paid throughout the 10 years, while the airline wants to pay in yearly installments (€15.5 million annually).

Etihad are likely to agree with Atletico’s proposal, but will require a massive advertising campaign featuring Diego Simeone and the taxes be paid by Atletico for the massive €93 million lump sum.

Description: Vodafone Arena

Cost $95 million

Symbolic beginning of the old stadium’s demolition was marked on June 2 2013, when chairman Fikret Orman crunched the first chunk of concrete from the north end’s third tier. Within a year almost all of the new stadium’s structure should be in place, while opening is planned for October 2014.

The concept envisages new stands being built within the bowl of historical Inönü. Historical southern façade and western main entrance gate are to be preserved. Inside a colonnade is to encircle new stands, giving support to cable roof with membrane cover.

Seating layout is to include two tiers with corporate seats (144 skyboxes) alongside the pitch. Upper tier is expected to be wavy, lower to the east and taller to the west. This layout will provide a view of the Bosporus for some spectators. Under the new structure a 600-car parking for VIPs is planned.

Due to architectural and traffic restrictions capacity of the new stadium cannot vary significantly from current one, thus only 40,000 seats are expected.

Roma have unveiled plans for a new stadium that they hope to build in time for the 2016-17 season.

It has been revealed that the Stadio della Roma will hold 52,000 fans, with the potential to extend to 60,000, and built on the site of the former Hippodrome in the Tor di Valle area.

President James Palotta admitted it will be a “modern 52,000-seater with state of the art technology” that will “strike fear into our opponents.”

Architect Dan Meis meanwhile insisted that he wanted to recreate one of the city’s most iconic landmarks with the new ground.

“With the Stadio della Roma we want to reproduce the glory and the power of the Colosseum.

“We want to develop a stadium where the fans are close to the playing field, unlike at the Stadio Olimpico

“We've designed a stadium specifically for football that evokes the city's most symbolic monument, the Colosseum.”
