Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

Post by Perucho21 on Wed Dec 30, 2015 12:18 am

REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla and Rubén Yáñez.
Defenders: Varane, Pepe, Nacho, Marcelo and Danilo.
Midfielders: Kroos, James, Bale, Casemiro, Kovacic, Modric and Isco.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lucas Vázquez, Benzema and Jesé.

Ramos and Carvajal still remain out due to injury. This should be 3 points of the bat but let's see how it goes

When I see Danilo in the squad I feel like I have a hole in my stomach.

More 424 ..Coward never learns.

His statement is pretty clear.. Try to outscore teams and win the league. Totally abandoned his philosophy, spineless coach.

The team is very unbalanced. Too many attacker with not enough midfieldrs. Bale has played fairly good. Adjustments need to be made for second half. This isnt working

To my surprise Bale played well in the first half. Danilo looked for the first time ever close to decent. And Ronaldo was pathetic.

Overall, dreadful performance for Madrid standards. And this is a team we used to thrash for fun.

I think Danilo is getting torn inside out by Bruma at every chance he gets.

So how are you all feeling about Bale now? From what I've seen of his last few games he's been quite good...probably Madrid's best player (keep in mind I've watched extended highlights only of the last 5 - 6 games which in general I think favours attackers).

A couple of rants/points

The good:
-Bale was very good i am almost at the stage where i feel he is not the problem but rather a scapegoat. He has had a very good season. I just wish he was this unselfish last season because he makes some excellent crosses
-Vasquez is another one who is really growing on me. When he came i thought he was just going to be another Jesus Navas but he offers so so much more than that. Glad Rafa believes in him
-When Kovacic came on there were suddenly more options for passes in the midfield. Shocker!!! A big emphasis for the need of one extra midfielder
-Navas played excellent. Hope he has this form vs Valencia because we will need it

The bad:
-Danilo rofl rofl Give me an injured, unfit and off the pace Carbajal over this slob. Worst player i have ever seen. Slow, lazy, easily beatable, and makes us so haphazard in defence. Pepe was literally playing RB and CB today. Coentrao was NEVER this bad and even the finished Arbeloa is better. He should be the back up of the back up. Horrendous and atrocious
-James makes us so unbalanced. Poor player who is yet to show me anything useful i can hold on to
-Rafa keeping Isco on the bench all game. What was that all about. Ego or what
-BBC, one needs benching. We need a midfielder. 2 are perfectly adequate if we want to score. Too many=/=goals as we saw in the first half

He hasn't done enough to make me stand up and clap. It's very easy to score against a ten-man Rayo.

However, I'll say this, today he was tremendous. And for the very brief moments he played on the left flank, he was deadly. Why aren't we playing him there? I personally don't know and probably never will.

He was always better on the left, and cutting into the middle with some freedom when the opportunity is there. That's why I think that if Ronaldo really does move on this summer it could be the best thing for Madrid in the short and long term though I'm not sure if they really have anyone that is really comfortable on the right or not (James?)

Ronaldo offers nothing in open play now days. It is almost like playing with 10 men. Benzema and Bale were superb today yet we were poor in attack. CR needs to go, dragging the team back one mid instead of CR will do a world of good.

Watching him running, then cutting, then struggling to pick up speed is so cringe worthy.

I've just watched some matches from the 02-03 season. Goddammit the football we played that season was orgasmic. Figo and Zidane's connection was fantastic to watch. They don't make them like before tbh. That team was pure art, flair and intelligence.

Look at Marcelo's position to Danilo's and Marcelo is our best attacking fullback Laughing

I doubt Rafa will play like this against the tougher teams. The Barca and Villarreal losses have hopefully taught him a lesson
