Handball Euro 2016 in Poland

Post by rwo power on Sun Jan 31, 2016 5:43 pm

I'm watching the handball Euro final Germany vs Spain atm. What excellent goalkeeping from Andreas Wolff!

This tournament is a real surprise - due to injuries to about all experienced top players, the German team consists of 16 (!) EM debutants and is by far the youngest team in the tournament. Nonetheless, the boys managed to prevail against all odds and now are leading 16:9 in the final in the 44th minute.  Shocked

Aus! Aus! Das Spiel ist aus!

Germany is European Champion - so much for "you can't win anything with kids!" The average age of the German team is 24,9 years, the second youngest (Hungary) has an average age of 26,3

FT - Germany 24:17 Spain cheers

Andreas Wolff was not only man of the match today, he was also chosen as the goalie for the All-stars team of this Euro.

Praise for Andi Wolff
