Yeah i saw that last night
Don't see anything special in him tbh, but he won't be the first NXT gimmick to flop. They are not all successes.

Bray's like the only male NXT gimmick that's worked. They really need some serious work down there when it comes to developing characters.
90% of them get called up with no character or a crappy one.

Enzo and Cass
Kevin Owens ( inb4 he has no character)
There's probably more but i haven't been watching it for very long and only really watched the PPVs in terms of history.
Also i was only really talking about it in terms of NXT really, not WWE. What i mean was that it doesn't work on NXT.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 26
I'm gonna give Enzo and Cass more time before making a decision on them. They've only been on for like 3 weeks and 2 of them were in smark territory where they're bound to be over. Hoping the WWE don't mess it up.
Even then that's like 2/20 people they've called up in the last few years that have a legit character.
Owens, well for the purposes of the discussion I'll say he has a bit of a character, but he doesn't really have a larger than life, superstar esque unique distinct flashy character. A lot of the times he seems like a regular guy off the street to me when it comes to personality.

Yeh I remember watching that guy in a WWE tryout video. Was probably the most charismatic out of the lot.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 26
One thing I'd change about Owens is his entrance. Right now he basically walks to the ring in a generic way.
He should slow down, embrace the crowd and act more like a superstar. Act like someone the crowd are paying to see.
I think that's what the problem is with Owens. He doesn't act like a superstar. At least Nakamura attempts to during his entrance.

This was such a goat theme as well imo. Shame it had to go to waste.

On the latest Chicken Necks: Russo suggests adding a character to Zayn where due to only working indies on the weekends where Sami couldn't pay the bills: Zayn had to drive a cab during the week to stay afloat while continuing wrestling.

Miz is one of the best mic workers in the company.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 26
In fairness he has been for years, he's always been great at that and getting heat from the crowd. I think he got hate mainly because he was put in the main event picture but his mic skills have never been in question.
I especially noticed it when on AJ Styles 2nd night on the job he got them cheering for him without AJ having to say a word.
In terms of mic work, getting heat from the crowd and getting people over through said heat and mic work he's extremely good and always has been.

They just don't know how to utilise half the roster lol. So much talent goes to waste at times.

Yeh saw that earlier, should be a main eventer imo. Really improved over the last couple of years.
Started out as a generic cocky heel, however he's managed to develop into a much better character.

Well that's true, but we take what we can get
Even in the good times it was the case.

First blood matches were good back in the days
Too difficult to use blood nowadays i suppose. Health n safety has increased along with younger fanbase.

Think he means in general, not necessarily the first blood matches themselves.

That's the thing. He doesn't have to be a maineventer. He can still be this good staying in midcard/upper mid. Not everyone should be maineventer lol.

I know. Was just remembering some of the first blood matches which they have scrapped now for years. Same with iron man matches.
I guess people like MT would quit wwe if they have to see 60 mins matches

Yeah i really like his spot on the card atm actually. He gets enough time to talk and he's with credible enough people in ring where he's actually relevant in the ring too.
Wouldn't change much as far as he's concerned.

He can stay in the midcard, but it's better to have the best entertainers in the main event imo.

Agreed. The Miz is in the right spot. He doesn't need to be higher up the card.
