What a strange song

First part is shit, then at 1:20 it becomes very good
Ends with a monologue of someone else's profound thoughts Laughing

Been a Bino fan since 2011, got to see him in concern for his because the internet tour. One of my favourite artists/people.

Yesterday at the Emmys, (he won two), he discussed a mixtape collab with Chance.

Ya'll go to concerts much?

I saw The Weeknd, Chance and Bryson this summer season Molenation

To all the British fellas here, mind telling me what grime is? Every time i listen to a grime artist speaking about his genre on a talk show, he usually goes on to say its not the same as hip hop.

I tried listening to few tracks, and to me it just sounded like someone rapping over a faster beat with basic flat rhyme scheme.

Seriously, WHY is Chance popular? This guy can't rap to save his life. He can't even rhyme. Seriously, what rapper doesn't know how to spit BASIC rhymes? I've tried. I really have. Every single Chance song I've heard, he hardly ever rhymes. Is that rap or spoken word? Even spoken word rhymes a lot. Idk wtf this guy's doing and why people like it so much. Most of his songs don't even sound good ffs!

Do you know what poetry is?

Anyway, music/art comes down to preference and taste. I am not a big Kendrick fan, but I don't question why other people enjoy his body of work,

Also, there are many way to rhyme and it seems you are not picking up on them. There are not rules to rhyming and that is what I love about art - you create as you see fit. Not everyone is going to love the same song or artist and perhaps you are just no a Chance fan. Clearly people are taking a liking to his music as he remained independent for a long time (not sure what his current status is.)

Here is a video that essentially deconstructs bars and explains some of the changes rhymes have experienced over the years...

I've seen that video before. I've been listening to rap for about 17 years now. I've listened to a ton of mainstream and underground artists. I've heard a very wide range of rhyming schemes. Honestly, I just don't rock with Chance's style at all. Not even in the slightest bit. Yeah, I guess I'm just not a Chance fan. And I really wanted to be one because I like him as a person and I like the independent movement he was on and where his hard work got him. But speaking purely on music terms? Not for me at all.
