Sunderland vs Arsenal (Sunday 24 April)
The season drags on!
This is the first of our two remaining away games and it's a very tricky one to manage. Sunderland are desperate for points and coming off a confidence-building 3-0 win over Norwich. They'll be team willing to fight and scrap for everything. Arsenal, as we've all seen, are about ready for the season to end and have been playing like a side who can't be arsed anymore. If this isn't a recipe for disaster I don't know what is.
Not that Arsenal don't have things to play for, of course. City won, so they're above us again. United are playing in the FA Cup so we can open up a bigger gap before they play again. It's just a matter of whether Arsenal can muster up the spirit to put in a good enough performance.
Wenger said he is expecting a fight at the Stadium of Light and I'm expecting Coquelin, who was rested on Thursday, to come back into the side - although for who I've no idea. There are also questions over whether Gabriel comes back in for Mertesacker, Welbeck back in for Giroud, and if Wilshere and Cazorla will return to the squad. I know who I'd leave on the bench, but we all know Wenger has his favourites.
Since it's an Allerdyce team we're up against I feel slightly less apathetic about this one.

I am more confident about this one, we tend to play better away from home since the crowd, the mood and the atmosphere doesn't get to the players. That and Sunderland not being very good at all. Couple of big calls for Arsene to make especially with Gabriel. You want him to get used to English football as well but its a big game and we have all see the impact Mert has when he comes back. Things are more organised and we are more composed. Coqulin and Wellbeck might come in with Arsene looking to play on the break.

Wenger will do some shit like start Giroud over Welbeck and drop points.
Hope Özil gets an assist.

Re: Sunderland vs Arsenal (Sunday 24 April)
welbeck would be more suited to this game, since sunderland will be pushing forward, we can hit them on the break with welbz pace. If giroud plays he will not have a good game, sunderland's cb's are very physical.

Shit game. Yet again, we're getting as far as the Sunderland third and finding it very tough to make good chances. Giroud offering nothing and restricting our play.
Either side probably should have had a penalty. Why Mertesacker is turning is back on the ball in the box I don't know. What Bellerin was attempting with that clearance I don't know either.

We are playing this as if it is a friendly, only we are lucky not to have conceded yet. Nonexistent in attack aswell.

Re: Sunderland vs Arsenal (Sunday 24 April)
Terrible performance. Wenger at his worse today as well.
Starts Giroud who didn't deserve a start.
Giroud play crap and does nothing, but remains on the pitch until the 70th minute.
Wenger waits a good 10-15 minutes too long to make a change, and when he does he brings on Walcott, who also offers nothing. Oh, and he brings off Iwobi, who was one of our brighter players. Campbell? Who's Campbell?
We somehow didn't lose it, since Sunderland had us under pressure and were the more likely to score. We never looked likely the whole game.

Was Wenger trying to defend the 0-0 when he took off Özil?

Re: Sunderland vs Arsenal (Sunday 24 April)
I think he thought he couldn't take off Elneny or Ramsey because Sunderland were putting us under pressure. Which is fine, but if he wanted to put Wilshere on he should have done so in place of Walcott.
