Well hopefully Markovic and Ibe are given some more time as they're still very young and full of potential. Lallana was one of Klopp's favourites but I'm not a huge fan to be honest, and I'm happy to keep Milner around -- he quietly always produces and never takes a shift off on the field.

I am a bit disappointed with our window so far though. Ibra and Mkhi to United already while we have...Mané. Don't get me wrong, I like Mané, but he's still on a different level to those two signings.

I can't see to much more excitment in this window, were ganna rely on Klopps tactics, no europe and suprise factor to do anything special this season

Although we will sign another 2-3 players, I believe the focus for reminder of the transfer window will be on clearing out.

1. Bogdan: Decent player, signed for free and not on high salary, should be easy.
2. Wisdom: Decent player, didn't cost much and not on high salary, should be easy.
3. Skrtel: Reportedly off to Turkey.
4. Ilori: Should be easy, if we accept peanuts.
5. Alberto: Several Spanish clubs will be interested, but we shouldn't expect more than £3-4 mil.
6. Lucas: Will have enough suitors and can be sold for a decent sum. Question is, should we?
7. Allen: Will have enough suitors and can be sold for a good bargain. Question is, should we?
8. Ibe: I can see many mid-table clubs wanting him but none willing to pay more than £3-4 mil, fair deal???
9. Markovic: Should be easy, if we accept £7-8 mil; fair deal???
10. Baloteli:
11. Benteke: Reportedly refused a £25 mil offer and holding out for £30 mil.

I don't think we will sign another 2-3 players tbh. don't forget we have ings. markovic and Gomez to come back. that's like having 3 new players for klopp. with them 3 plus the 4 new players coming in makes 7 players fighting for a spot in the team.

I really hope we don't sell Allen or Ibe. Moreso Allen because he's coming into his prime and is an excellent midfielder who will stabilize our midfield, but Ibe has so much talent as well and deserves more of a chance.

It would be demoralizing to me if Klopp came in and sold those two and then his big window was bringing in guys like Grujic, Zielinski and Mane.

Considering the rumors, we are still after a CM (Zielinski???) and a LB and if Sakho receives a long ban, a CB.

With Mané being our big signing, Klopp really has to work his magic to make it a good season. Sadly, I don't see his philosophy suiting the PL.

I would want Coutinho starting in MF along side Henderson/Emre with Mane, Firmino and Lallana/Markovic behind the striker.

Also, I don't see how the rumored CM options are any better than the ones we currently have.

I don't agree with that, especially for Klopp.

That said I am not overly optimistic about how our transfer window has looked. I know that Klopp prefers to build from within, and there is some talent here to be nurtured, but there are some pretty obvious weaknesses in this club that need addressing. Maybe Mané (and a leftback) plus Karius is enough to cover those weaknesses. I'm putting my faith in him.

Yep. Benteke was 3rd choice behind Origi, so it makes no sense to compare him to a winger signing Klopp wanted.
Mané used to play at RB Salzburg which is a club Klopp observed closely, back when Roger Schmidt was there, already for the fact they employed similar pressing-focused tactics. Also bought Kampl from Salzburg etc.

Whether he's quality enough for what Liverpool see themselves as is another question. Let's just say he's no Luis Suarez.

Pjaca is a winger. Coric is an AM. Don't need a winger with Markovic, Ibe, Ojo, Wilson, Kent, Canos all of age and looking for minutes.

Coric on the other hand really could be useful as in terms of youngsters we only got Allan there. Sold Teixeira and most likely getting rid of Luis Alberto.

Well Zlatan is hardly world class nowadays. He is been brought mainly to guide our 2 young cfs and has only a year or 2 left at this level. Mkhi is a solid player, but so as Mane. Its a fairly equal signing by all means. We have seen what Mane can do when he is in top of his game. Will work well under Klopp's system.
Bailly is more of a project.
And all these talks of we signing Pogba lol, if it happens then yea. But its never going to, so relax.

Mane is not on the same level as Mkhi as of now, and how is Zlatan not still world class? He's coming off arguably his most impressive season to date.

I do think that it's been a bit of a weird transfer window. If you were going to tell people that Rodgers was just buying Mané and adding Matip on a free he'd have been roasted, especially after just finishing outside of Europe.

They certainly don't seem to have been overly ambitious this window. Hopefully players from last season step up and the new signings can perform to a high level.
