Bale (Wales) vs Ronaldo (Portugal)
(Apologies for the ill-prepared post...had to rush this)
As much as the players play down the inexistence of a Ronaldo Bale battle, as much as the match has more at stake than the individual performance and ambition of both players, we know their personal duel is still going to be a major theme of the match.
personally, I will be watching the match as a Madrid fan and then as a neutral.
Despite the fact that both are teammates at Madrid, despite the fact that they both try to downplay the existence of the battle for supremacy when they play for Madrid, there is still a feeling that Bale is inspired positively by ronaldo, and also trying to carve an identity for himself and probably be seen as Madrid's Number 1, rightfully.
Two CL trophies in 3 seasons and he had a hand directly in all victories.
Ronaldo knows this and feels threatened by the upward trajectory.
Their EUROs form has been more of a tale of two coins with Bale single-handedly bringing his team to the EUROs and doing the same driving them to the semi-finals.
Unlike Ronaldo who has had only one good match in all their matches, he has been more of an eleventh man in his team.
It is believed that the winner of the duel will have a bigger chance of claiming the balon d'or trophy for 2016.
I believe Bale has had more influence on his national team than Ronaldo and he has also turned up in the biggest of games for madrid.
Personally, I am rooting for Bale to advance to the finals and win the Balon D'or
Who are you supporting.

you know iceland is out, yes?
anywho, dont know what to expect from this tie. fortune favors Bale but one should never rule out the Kommander.
