Any Liverpool team news?

A little. Joel Matip limped off in the closing stages of Sunday's win at Wigan with an ankle knock , and may not be risked. Ragnar Klavan should be signed in time but probably won't feature.

Marko Grujic (virus), Alberto Moreno (neck) and Brad Smith (groin) all missed the game at the DW Stadium but could all return.

Should be 2-3 up and Huddersfield should 2-3 men down but hey its a friendly.

Grujic scored again.

Shaky game but im satisfied with what i've seen. Coutinho needs to hold the ball better or ill recommend him soon for the Indian Futsal League. He missed a penalty also.

Ejaria will play this season in the cups for sure, Unreal talent.

In terms of academy players I see Trent Alexander Arnold, Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn definitely making it with us in the first team and long term can actually be starters at some point or another. They have enough talent and are good enough at this age to show it.

The likes of Brad Smith, Connor Randall, Kevin Stewart, Wisdom, Jack Dunn, Lloyd Jones, Jordan Williams are simply not good enough.

Ryan Kent, Ojo, Chirivella, and Brannagan are very talented but CM and AM/Winger positions are very hard to crack in the first team unless you are talents like Woodburn/Wilson.

Oh yeah forgot Ejaria. I would put him in the same category as Ojo, Chirivella, Kent and Branagan. Very very talented but long term not sure.

Suso, Teixeria, and Ibe both didn't make it and they were all same talent category. Suso probably even more so.

Moreno is so shit. He hasn't improved at all defensively. It feels like shit knowing we will have liability every time we start a league game this season.

And Flanno is leaving on loan as well so it means Moreno will 100% start.

I would prefer if we start Trent AA at RB and Clyne at LB if we don't sign. Dreading Moreno starting all year.

hopefully Gomez can get fit soon. He would be a better left back than Moreno. That guy is so bad it's unreal. I never thought I would see Spain produce a player that bad.

I think Kent and ejaria have a bit about them tbh. But it depends on how quick they develop

mate Moreno is so bad its unreal. honest to god I played full back when I was younger and not at a high level. but time and time again I see him make mistakes that I would never do. he don't track players. he never looks whats behind him. he dives in when he should stand up ( which is all the time ) he tackles players from out side in instead of inside out. he heads the ball back into play when he should head the ball wide. the list goes on. the guy is so bad its funny.

I'm fine with it. Sakho has always been inconsistent for us and always seems to be involved in some drama. Lovren and Matip were always going to be first choice for Klopp anyway, and they're both better than Sakho is at this point.

The only annoying thing is if he does end up being sold now they'll need to find a top end CB (young or otherwise).
