Re: IS CR THE GOAT?
him and ramos put in captain performance tonight. the whole team was great but these 2 and carvajal were the standouts for me. cristiano's will power is beyond human.

Re: IS CR THE GOAT?
was absolutely fantastic today. in times like these, the top players step up, they want to take the risk and aren't scared of failing. fantastic.....no, he is not the goat. but it was a goat-like performance, especially ending with a free kick....but let's calm down a bit

Re: IS CR THE GOAT?
Been waiting for a performance like this. A game of redemption.
CR7 should be more consistent but great game for him today.
Though I wish he show this more often.

Re: IS CR THE GOAT?
Goat performance, not goat player.
If he had been performing like this, people would not have doubted him. He has totally redeemed himself. A coach really matters. There is a big difference in playing for Benitez and playing for Zizou. If he carries on with this level, he should pick the next Balon D'or

Re: IS CR THE GOAT?
Bumping this thead.
It's official, CR7 finally has claimed the final missing credential to being one of the All Time Greats status: A major international trophy in the EURO 2016. CR7 > Mehssi let this be known and heard through out all the 4 corners of the world. To be triumphant for both club and nation is extremely difficult. CR7 can now be truly considered among the legends of old.
CR7 truly is a magnificent player and leader. I am proud that he plays for Real Madrid.

All jokes aside the fact that he has won 7 out of his last 9 finals is quite an impressive feat, don't think you can put it down as just luck or coincidence. Gotta give it to the guy for his unmatched will and desire to always win.
Although it's quite ironic that this is probably his worst season performance wise since hitting his peak yet his most successful.

It's not really ironic. It would be if success was solely predicated on Ronaldo's performance, but it's not. The fact that it's a team sport means that sometimes you get carried by your teammates even if you don't play that well yourself.
Trust me, there have been many times where I felt Ronaldo didn't win as much as he probably should have with Real Madrid. His performances should've given him the trophy but his teammates let him down.
Other times, I felt the exact opposite; I felt he was the one letting down his teammates.
I guess it's the unfair side of football; you can kill yourself and perform at the highest level, but if your teammates aren't playing as well as you, or at least to the minimum level required, chances are you won't win.
It's probably why great players like Ibra or a god like R9 don't have CL but Torres does.

I guess he has the devils luck then but yeah fair point, looking back i probably got carried away yesterday because Portugal actually managed to win i still commend him for his passion though.jibers wrote:Zees wrote:Turok_TTZ wrote:Bumping this thead.
