Bale and Ronaldo are constantly beating their man but they don't have anyone to cross to but themselves on either side of the box. We are playing well but we need a striker we are not playing with one right now.

Isco has been useless like this. I'd rather push Kroos and Kova back and bring on Vasquez to add speed. Move Bale to the left and just put Ronaldo as the Cf and Benz in the SS.

It just moves everyone into better positions for them on the pitch.

@hala...  the reason Bale and Ronaldo got a few runs is that, on those plays, Benzema dezoned up leading to the CBs following him out of the box.  Bale and Ronaldo made runs behind that move.  You can't ask the CF to do that and then also be in the box.

Normally, when you get the CF to dezone like that and you have runs behind him, the opposite winger and/or a CM are supposed to make the central runs.

The issue is that our CMs are completely immobile.  They're static.

Isco should read that move and make the run into the box while the CF then becomes the one trailing.

Also, when the CBs are doubling down on the CF, the CM is supposed to move in the area between the PK spot and the edge of the box. We have absolutely nobody making that move.

Sport Benz has touched the ball 4 times. That's unacceptable. If ZZ wasn't so biased we would see Morata at HT

Bottom line is that we only have 1 player in the box 90% of the time against multiple defenders. That's never going to work.

How is he supposed to touch the ball?  He's asked to hold the line and there is no support.  We have so many AMs on the pitch that there is no room for him to help buildup.

He's literally glued to the 2 CBs.

They're playing Benzema in a similar way that you would play Giroud or Grazianno Pelle...  except he's not a dominant air player by any stretch Laughing

I put this on Zidane. Morata is useless in this type of scheme too. We need someone like Fernando Llorente or Mandzukic if we want to play like this.

Half-time. First time I ever nod along to the whistling of the Bernabeu crowd. Dreadful performance all around.

I don't even know where to begin, honestly, this is just unacceptable. It's like we have to get used to the fact that we struggle against all teams, even at the Bernabeu, and this regardless of which starting XI Z picks.

Even before the injuries, we played like this, delivering lackluster football relying heavily on luck, crosses, individual brilliance and set-pieces. Today, it wasn't an exception. And the trend of conceding first didn't disappoint and we had to crawl our way back into the game through a cross. And then we looked clueless and unable to score more, as if we were waiting for Eibar to notch another goal.

1. Ronaldo: except for that cross that let to Bale's goal, and few other shots on target, he didn't do much. If he's going to keep playing like, I really don't see why he shouldn't be dropped and sold.

2. Benzema: the most useless player on the field. You could literally take him out and nobody would notice a difference. What a burden of a player taking up valuable space.

3. Bale: the least useless player of the BBC. Almost, all the danger was coming from him. But him too didn't stand out, and what he did wasn't enough.

4. Z: I'm gradually losing patience with him. Let's leave it at that.

Isco had a clear shot there, but instead he turned away from goal. Why? I'll never know.

And Morata has done in 5 min what Benzema couldn't in 45 min.

We still seem clueless, but at least it's refreshing to be playing with 11 players for a change.
